No I didn't. I said that I have never understood the 2 nationality thing and I personaly consider myself to belong to the country that I was born into (thus the as far as I am concerned part of my comment). I think you misunderstood but I'll let that slide as I am not so much with the words at times.

Ok fine, let's just drop this and return to the original topic which is football.

I dont know kiki im pretty sure if your born somewhere you have a right to that citizenship regardless of your parents nationality, might be wrong but im sure its the case world wide.

I dont just mean "have the right" i mean they will class you as a Japanese citizen if your born in Japan. Might just be here, if your born here in the UK your a citizen should you wish to be.

Germany is one of the few exceptions - their citizenship right is not based on the place where one is born, but on blood kinship.

Blood Kinship? Is this a throwback to 1939?

1939 and Germany mentioned. I hereby invoke Goodwin's Law. :hehe:

Back to the football now!

So Scotland look like they're in with a chance of qualifying for Euro 2012. Any guess on how long it'll take them to make a complete hash of this and as usual and fail miserably?

[ Ie if you were born there you could have Australian but still automatically the one of your parents, thus why many Aussies are duel citizens. But I think Australian has become stricker where if one parent isn't Australian that the child will have to wait until 18.

Not sure on that, my mother has no Aussie passport but I am Australian. This might be new, I have not heard it though.
DD I was not aware of that about Germany, wonder if I can apply for a German passport too :hehe:

Sorry Football... How about Rangers beating Celtic

Looks like bloody Stoke and their cheap tactics (fouling nonstop!!!) have earned them a draw. M United held to a draw for first time...

They are a horrible side to watch.Nearly all their players are very tall and all they do s hoof the ball up all the time. They were very lucky when they played my team.Got an equaliser in injury time :banghead:
Having said that always good when someone takes points off Man utd :hehe:

I hope they lose hard in the Europa League. Yes it might be a crap league but I do not like that Stoke elimated Hajduk Split.

Btw Srbija cannot qualify for the Euro 2012. Apart from my wonderful Italy already winning the group ages ago, I thank you to also moj Sloveniji for beating Srbija and allowing Estonia the second place play off. Hopefully Croazia who finished 2nd (Shame Hellas stole the first spot) can win their play off spot and qualify. But of course in reality, as long as Italy is there, that is all that matters. :D

Greece is a surprise, I would have thought Serbia would dominate that group, but they got stopped by Slovenia somehow. I watched that game and even though Serbia looked more dangerous, Slovenia did have a goal in their favor =/
Can't they still go through the playoffs?
Also Europa league isn't a bad league, it's actually pretty tough and teams like Atletico Madrid and Udinese are very strong

Well England were pathetic again,Rooney a prat. Will be interesting to see how many Spain thrash us by at wembley next month.Looking forward to seeing Spain again, always a pleasure to watch total football.
Interesting to see Portugal have to go via the play offs.Croatia,Rep of Ireland,Czech Rep also in there, some tough sides.Could be some good matches.
As for the europa league I'm afraid it is a joke.Half of the english teams put out their reserves out ,as they tend to focus more on the premiership.

Serbia dominating that group. Umm are you forgetting Italy was in that group. More like Italy dominated it and won it long before all the games were finished (As expected). The Serbs were supposed to be the second best team but fell way short and finished behind Italy, Estonia and Slovenia. Serbia, who are they. Compared to the might of Italy, they are nothing.

EL has also a few strong Portuguese teams that will be hard to beat.
