On the topic of Serie A, here are my predictions for the upcoming season:

1. AC Milan
2. Inter Milan
3. AS Roma
4. Juventus
5. Napoli

Six through ninth are a free-for-all between Udinese, Palermo, Genoa, and Fiorentina. I expect Zarate and Hernanes to flop, add to that the fact that Muslera's gone, and Lazio are out of the top nine, and maybe the top ten. Parma has a good shot at cracking the top ten this year. Handanovic, Maicon, and Tzorvas to be the biggest surprises this year. We will wait and see...

That can't be right. AS Roma are crap. Parma got demolished by Juve last week as well. I saw the game and Parma never even came close to scoring, except that lucky penalty they got at the end. The game ended 4-1. Juve under Conte will flurish Juve will finish first or second and same for AC Milan so those 2 at the top with Napoli in 3rd. Udinese will finish mid table and same as Palermo. Lazio will make a Europa league playoff. Inter will get 4th. They're new coach Gasparini is rubbish. I reckon he will get fired mid season.

Are you trying to be funny, or have you seriously never watched an AS Roma game in your life?

I have watched them play. Even when they played Hajduk in Rome a few years back in the UEFA Cup. This season AS Roma are crap. They are losing and drawing too many games. Serie A may be only 2 rounds old, but Roma crashed out of the Europa League to some unknown club and lost very much all their pre-season friendlies.

Btw my appologies if you are a Roma fan and I just bagged your team. But camon, look where you placed Juve. I watched them play against Parma and Siena and the new Juve under Conte will be (in time) the new super power of Italian football. I observed the defence especially. Last season they would make errors which allowed the oppenant to take shots at goal which some would go in. These first 2 games when the defence makes an error, they would be quickly back on the ball, not allowing the other team to even take a shot. This is remmant og the great Juve I remember.

Cause italian football is boring, successful, go look at their world cups to see that, but boring.

In the end successful means winning and that is all that really matters. In reality which you chose to be exciting but not necessarily win, or be boring but win. I know I would chose the latter as that equates to glory........just like Ferrari.

Whats happened to Italian football ,doesn't anyone go and see it anymore ?.attendances roughly roma and Lazio under 20k,Juve building a new stadium thats only holds 40k,empty seats in the san siro.Never used to be like that.
I suppose it doesn't have all the best players in the world anymore but still amazed they're that low.

It has. Stupid Euro. drives all the prices up, but not wages. I cannot believe Croatia will enter the Eurozone in 2013. Slovenija is struggling and Italy the 3rd largest economy in the Eurozone isn't exactly shining. This is where Britian was smart to no change to Euros.

Must confess I didn't think we would be above arsenal after five games

Walks all over your Srpski liga. You are so jealous of the greatness of Italy they you have to pretend behind Man Utd. But guess what, you are not English and any greatness an EPL club achieves does nothing for you. As for Calcio. AC Milan is the most title club in the world. In the last 10 years Serie A clubs have one more CL than EPL clubs. Ac Milan 2 and pathetic Inter 1 (I will defend them when it suits me and Italy), Italy have one the world cup 4 time. The last one in 2006. England are that bad that they need a Serie A based coach Capello to coach them. EPL clubs that are great need non English coaches to be great. Such as Mancini of ITALY of Man City. You are jealous because your country Serbia will never obtain nothing in football. Even in the group stages you are crap. You are in our group and we have already qualified (Italy).

You say our national side is bad ? totaly agree .None of the players seem to care about international football over here anymore.It's all about the premier league and champions league,it's a shame I used to prefer international football.
How the hell England are ranked four in the world is an absolute joke Brazil,Argentina,Germany,Italy,France,Holland,Spain would all beat us in a world cup,probably others might as well.

Our managers are bad this is also true.English managers are few and far between,think seven of the twenty prem managers are scottish for a start.
But champions league wise we are up there ,think it's seven finalists in the last seven years,Barca are just too good at the moment though.

Ranking doesn't mean much. If you play a lot of games (even friendlies), you will earm points and move higher.

As for finals, yes EPL teams have made a lot of finals, but in reality only wins count towards success. No one really cares about second place. It is like Alonso saying he will try and get second since Vettel has virtually won it. As a Ferrari fan it doesn't mean mcuh to me finishing second. It may look better than 3rd and below, but there is no glory in coming second. Only winning. I also remember back in 2007 when 3 EPL clubs were in the semis of the CL plus AC Milan. In the end AC Milan won it. Surely that is greater success and glory to have won it, than to have 3 clubs come 2nd, 3rd and 4th.
