Nico got his arse handed to him today, without Lewis' info as a reference during the race he settled into his comfort zone - between 0.5 - 3 seconds slower a lap the whole race.

I was almost about to agree with you until this complete bullpoo flowed forth. Some people just can't help it

Sounds like you having a Ferrari moment there geet! Did you actually watch this race?
When Lewis was behind he was quicker, when he overtook he was much faster after the pit stop and before the stutil crash he pulled a gap of 15 seconds before slowing for the yellows.
Maybe you can work out the maths on that?

In the meantime read this

Hamilton passed Rosberg on lap 29. Ten laps later, shortly after taking on a fresh set of intermediate rubber, he set the fastest lap of the race.

From then on he could afford to back off over the following laps, yet still he pulled away from his team mate at up to a second per lap. Hamilton extended his lead over Rosberg by a further ten seconds, even as the rain returned and track conditions began to deteriorate.

You should be more concerned about asking for a pocket money rise to cover the £50 you will be paying out for a previous 'Ferrari' moment. Let's work the maths on that one - Nico has to out score Lewis by 10 points each of the last 4 races for you to win the bet - Nico to win with Lewis third EVERY RACE - that's how much you know about F1

I'm thinking, without mechanical issues involved like missing a cylinder or launch control, have we a
seen Nico overtake Hamilton on track at all this entire season?

......18 points is better than 0.

....but not as good as 25, and leading the WDC by 4 points. Which is what he could of done if he'd tried a little harder and not given up. ;)

Not reading any complaints about that old gravel trap at turn 1 being paved.

Nice change of conversation Geet.... ;)

.......along with the likelihood that he quit pushing as hard since he knew there wasn't anybody else in striking distance.....

And thats the difference between Nico and Our Lewis©. Lewis would of done all he could to keep up / or take the place back. Especially in those conditions where lead driver could easily of gone into a corner too deep, and given the other a chance to take advantage....

eh, you can have " Our Lewis©" cuz 18 points is better than 0. Not reading any complaints about that old gravel trap at turn 1 being paved.

Now you're just being dumb. The mentality changes when we have gravel traps paved, if there was no escape maybe OUR LEWIS might've thought twice before pushing hard into that corner in the first place. Let's not make this about IFS......Rosberg got owned yet again when it mattered, you gotta deal with it mate.

I'd disagree and say rosberg maintained the gap until he had his oversteer issues,

Oversteer issues? thats the reason he was slower?
Next you will be saying he was slower because he didnt have a s much grip as Lewis, or he was slower because he couldnt go round the corners faster because he couldnt keep his back end from oversteering on the limit - stop right here - its getting embarrasing

And I'm even going to go as far as to say that if it were a dry race rosberg would have won out right, fair and square.

:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

Geet...he might have a point since Hamilton was just sitting behind Rosberg keeping the gap at 1.5-2s....until the overtake.

From there, it was indeed 0.5-3s quicker until the end.

Suffice to say, Hamilton had the pace all along, but chose to use it when he needed to.

I'd disagree and say rosberg maintained the gap until he had his oversteer issues, and hamilton didn't make any headway into rosberg past 0.9 sec until DRS opened. Ya ya, I know how the aero gets $#@!*& being close behind somebody. Lewis was fighting tooth and nail to get those precious tenths necessary for his DRS to work. Once he got past, rosberg's lack of pace was just exacerbated by hamilton being in clean air and no spray along with the likelihood that he quit pushing as hard since he knew there wasn't anybody else in striking distance. But anyway, until rosberg started suffering from oversteer, hamilton couldn't break +1.2 sec. And I'm even going to go as far as to say that if it were a dry race rosberg would have won out right, fair and square. With the offs that hamilton had this weekend and the relatively clean weekend rosberg had, he'd have just kept his head down and handled business. He didn't make any of the mistakes under pressure yesterday like he has in the past this year

Maintained the gap? Why wasn't Rosberg running off into the distance in the first part of the race. He was in clear air and had no spray to deal with. Why couldn't he pull a gap?

Why the oversteer issues? Both guys have said the car was set up the same. Why couldn't Rosberg deal with what the car threw at him ? is he struggling without pit wall coaching and information on how Lewis is doing it?

When Lewis got past Rosberg, in the move if the race, he didn't just pull a gap, he annihilated him.

Rosberg may have had a relatively 'clean' weekend, but that's no good if you go slow and can't race your competitor.

Still waiting for the day Nico overtakes Lewis on track without proving "any points".

naw it's not dumb at all. half you twats whine about monza endlessly when given the chance yet conveniently no sweat when 'your lewis' benefits from it. I've been dealing with my drivers getting owned since I started watching f1 so no worries.

I'm not concerned about money at all so if that's some sort of self-reflection peeking through then work on your own finances out and don't worry about mine. I've had no ferrari moments. I already explained my reasoning. You asked if I even watched the race? You obviously didn't even read my post.

You're sorely misguided dude. I root for the drivers I like and if they get beat, sobeit. I put my money where my mouth is and I'm not afraid to. I don't root for pansies like hamilton and I can sleep on that just fine. If that means I know jack about F1 then cool, cuz I don't wanna know anything about F1 if it means supporting heart-on-my-sleeve twelve year old sissies with abominable haircuts.

Like I said before, I was about to agree with you on hamilton and I've already acknowledged that he's faster day in and day out than rosberg, but I just can't do it because associating myself with a group of fans of your ilk would mean I might get mistaken for an arrogant, indignant, self-righteous nutcase. I'm sure y'all think I'm a nutcase already for liking rosberg over hamilton but at least I'm not so haughty about it.

The point is, he can't! :P

technically speaking, even though he 'proved a point' he still couldnt even manage to overtake, Lewis fell back with a puncture

Nico has not once raced passed Lewis on track this season
