See you guys think about the excuse....where you just have to sound sick over the phone to your 'superior'. Well I dont have any problems doing that, but I need to go see a qualified doc (panel clinic registered with my co.) and the doc will see I have no flu.

I wasn't suggesting you actually get a bad appendix. I used this excuse once and my place of work never asked for any doctors letters, presumably because it sounds like such a detailed, outlandish experience.

It is all well and good until you do actually come down with it the following week.

My mate wanted some time off and said he had Swine Flu, He loved it until a fortnight later guess what he actually came down with!!! SO caught it twice have you now son!!!
