I've been trying to figure it out, or at least what they're trying to achieve. That's why I'd love to know if anyone's read anything about it or the concept. Pure guess on my part but, from the way Jenson's been describing his balance/grip problems in corners, maybe it's some sort of incremental shift front-rear that's varies as the downforce bleeds off while cornering?

Brake bias is one of the simplest functions on a F1 car but one of the most important and difficult to properly set. Many other attributes concerning the car can make it,the brake bias, a HUGE factor in ones performance. Sorry I don't have any detailed data to help you with but maybe one of our McLaren guru's will assist you .

Exactly, and whatever it is that McLaren have they must have a great belief in its potential to stick so hard with it. Yep, anyone who can shed some light on what makes it different/new or anything about it would be vellly intellllesting

Anyone got any thoughts on the brake-balance system Jenson has had on his car from Korea on? Why is McLaren persisting with it, is it 2011 experimental? What's special/different about it or how is it supposed to work?

jens has gone his own way on brakes using a dfifferent system to lewis. Dont know if that bears any light on what your talking about. Shoot me down if its aload of crap.

Alonso could very well be P5! McLaren are near Red Bull! Ferrari expect the Red Bulls to be 4 tenths a lap quicker. So with McLaren not to ar behind Alonso could be P5! Plus Rosberg, Kubica, Schumi and Massa could pull a lap from no-where and pip him aswell.

i think that qualifying is going to super tight, one small mistake and you could end up at the bottom end of the top 10!

So this is the first GP i attend. I never thought i would be able to do something like this while deployed, but i'm taking full advantage of being in Abu Dhabi. Anyways, the experience here has been amazing so far, wonder if other GPs are like this or better.

One point though, I was a little upset with Webber, but i do understand why he did what he did. Red Bull was in an autograph session, and at one point Mark jumps up and starts signing the people closest to him then leaves! I get it that he wanted to get ready for P1 (this was friday) but Vettel stayed there for a looong time. And was the fastest man during P1. Ohh yeah forgot to mention, it was raining for a good 10 min before he left his fans...
but like i said, he had the championship in his mind, and i wish him luck this sunday, but Vettel gained a lot of respect, and gained a fan for trying to stay with the fans a bit longer (before i thought he was a fast driver but didn't care too much about him other than his driving skills)... and yeah i got his autograph on a red bull cap.
Now i hope Vettel wins the race.
yeah im missing quali (my boss wouldn't give me all 3 days off) but i think this will be a pretty exciting closer to the season.

Bud, calm down mate, the smiley indicates I'm not actually being serious about it being my opinion, more of a "dark"/mocking joke thing. Wasn't even gloating, Alonso has the shortest odds because the bookies think he's the most likely to win the title? Is that not how odds work? It doesn't matter why that is in this context does it?
