This is my chair, and at the start of the race I'm sitting at the very forward edge of the ottoman! I get up and pace quite a lot.

That's a lovely chair, but I'm looking for non-chair, sitting on the floor dweebs, WB! I also get sweaty palm syndrome, heart going mad and other nerdy F1 related symptoms. I tend to yell a lot too. Neighbours have complained :irked:

Does anyone else get off the couch and sit on the floor to watch the GP starts to see the action as close up as possible, or am I the only dweeb on this forum?

Yeah, tomorrow...my nose is going to be pressed up as tight to that screen as possible!!!!

I just sit on the edge of the sofa at the start :D

taking the extra engine wont actually help massa, other than the fact they are replacing a broken engine. ( does that make sense ) as it isnt counted as an extra engine to use its counted as a replacement meaning that it will technically do almost as many miles as this one.

thanks to the dirty line i think its possible for hamilton to take the lead like alot of you guys have said, BUT i think its more than likely one of our 5 contenders is gona have a incident, maybe not even a DNF and be well down the table on sunday.

i really wonder how much redbull were able to help the starts, if it was entirely physiological or is there really a fundamental car issue ? webber could easily fall into barrichello, Rosberg, kubica and not be able to get by. Rosberg has usually been strong here lets hope he does well, same for rubens good showing by those 2 and a little disappointing for renault and kubica as they really talked up this weekend

:hehe: I used to run and hide in my walk-in-closet (when I lived in America) if Schuey was leading on the last lap. I was convinced that if I actually watched, something awful would happen.

How can you be so sure that both Vettel and Hamilton are going to pass Alonso at the start?

You mean NOT going to get pass Alonso and Vettel...?

Dirty side in Singapore will probably be completely traction-less. Who knows if even wet... Hamilton taking P1 is a bit more difficult than P2, i think P2 for him at the start is almost certain from how its ussually been.... Anything can happen though.

On normal F1 schedule races (ie not he ones in Japan or such, which air here like at 3am, and i have to watch "mute")... I ussually set up the surround system (to endless complaints from my wife) and sit right in front of the tv. Phone off... computer away... feet tapping (ala C. Horner hehe)... wait for the lights to go off. Heartbeat goes back to normal like on L3.

Ooops where are you my friend?
Engine??? what engine???

oh that Ferrari engine is juiced!! Fueled with evil red vampire blood :whip::whip:
Massa simply couldnt handle the juice ;)

You could have shouted sneering updates from your comfy seat on the couch to me cowering in the closet! :wavey:

Felipe will fix a new engine and gearbox - very good move as the penalty will have no effect - he is already at the back of the grid. He will now have the extra engine to use again, if they want, without any further penalties applicable. So he will have fresher engines for the remaining four races.
It is also good news for the team, as they won't have to run older engines for their testing of new parts during Fridays practice sessions. Felipe will be free to do as many laps as necessary for testing on Fridays.
Good call by the team.

From the way it was explained by Martin Brundle on the BBC is; yes they will effectively get a penalty free engine change but the engine being replaced can not be re-used for the remainder of the season but a fresher engine will certainly benefit Massa in the upcoming races rather than using an engine that has already done two race weekends.

So he doesn't get an extra engine to use; just a fresh replacement!
