Thing is i think teams other then Ferrari are up and coming to stay for the long haul. Ferrari are always a good team to go to, but they are becoming what i feel less ad less the top team to aim for in F1, as result drivers will be more content in Mclaren, Renault and soon Mercedes GP, i personally cant see Ferrari offering Hamilton anything Mclaren cant, other then a fat amount of money to drive for them Theres also so much history between Mc and Ferrari that i just cant see Hamilton ever goingthere. I cant see the Tifosi taking kindly to him too. I got a feeling that one Mclaren seat is reserved for a long time.

Jenson has a good chance of winning this race as he will have more traction off the line with his higher downforce setup.

Hmmm higher downforce will mean very little off the line. And also it will be tough to overtake through the turns, which is where he'll be fastest.... but with the higher d/f he will definitely be kinder to his tires and will have some chances to outbreak someone into a chicane (with the Fduct) after a good exit from a turn....... i think those are his strenghts for the race.

Maybe not off the start line but it will help once he reaches 100mph and the downforce starts to work, then of course under braking for turn one and should be able to carry more speed through the chicane with the added downforce. I believe he will be vulnerable on the straights, apparently the F-Duct does not stall the wing completely as even with the wing stalled, Jenson's car is still upto 9kph slower down the main straight, although that maybe weight related and of course the F-Duct itself will create some drag!

Most teams have elected to use the F-Duct from what I saw in Q; the notable exception is Lewis Hamilton. He seemed to be downbeat in the post Q interviews so I guess he doesn't rate his chances very highly but that said how often have we seen Hamilton manhandle an ill handling car around the track to score big points; that's his strength!

You know what... i've found i dont dislike Lewis that much. I really dont mind him, and think he does a good job and is a reasonably nice guy. He used to be much more annoying, but really has levelled and definitely grown a lot. Maybe the not so succesful last season brought him back to earth... but he's not a bad guy at all.

Oh, I am not the only one to have changed my mind about him, then.

I never doubted he was an astonishing driver, I just thought he was a touch too arrogant both in and out of the car.
But now he is not so much anymore. Good.

I don't think Lewis will go to Ferrari, he's well integrated into McLaren and there's no need to throw that even in a few sub-par seasons situation. Moreover Alonso loves Ferrari I think (and feels the pressure a little too much sometimes) and really wants to stay there for the rest of his career.

Don't forget Lewis was in McLaren's young driver since he was 13. Being British and racing for a British team, the team that most brits support he will end his career at McLaren for sure. There is more chance of him joining Hispania than Ferrari.

The Lewis going to Ferrari part was discussed earlier, I diddn't quote that part, but quoted that becuase the first part of my post was in response to it and looks like I forgot to quote the second part to make it clear what I was referring to there.

He was always nice!! Just very young and a touch naive.But nice and an ace driver. Its soooooooooo good that you are seeing this.
