I felt almost sorry for EJ today...
Basically, in Q1 McLaren and Ferrari left it too late to send their cars out, for whatever dumb reason! (it was raining lightly just before the session and so almost everyone else immediately went out and did a banker lap). Button actually made it into Q2 but aquaplanned off and got stuck in the gravel trap, so couldn't set any further times. Then in Q3, the red flag came out with 7 minutes remaining - Mark Webber used Inters whereas everyone else used the full wet tyres and the track basically came to him on his last lap - hence the massive gap to Rosberg in second. (edit - actually, wasn't Rosberg on Inters too? I was half asleep)
I do not know what to say about the qualifying, except that I am so pissed I couldn't watch it. But, can someone explain to me what happened? I am kind of out of it and I don't feel like reading the article on the official website.Pic on here
