I do not know what to say about the qualifying, except that I am so pissed I couldn't watch it. But, can someone explain to me what happened? I am kind of out of it and I don't feel like reading the article on the official website.

IS THAT SHOPPED?!

Nope! :hehe: I felt almost sorry for EJ today...

Basically, in Q1 McLaren and Ferrari left it too late to send their cars out, for whatever dumb reason! (it was raining lightly just before the session and so almost everyone else immediately went out and did a banker lap). Button actually made it into Q2 but aquaplanned off and got stuck in the gravel trap, so couldn't set any further times. Then in Q3, the red flag came out with 7 minutes remaining - Mark Webber used Inters whereas everyone else used the full wet tyres and the track basically came to him on his last lap - hence the massive gap to Rosberg in second. (edit - actually, wasn't Rosberg on Inters too? I was half asleep)

Jeez, clearly it's very, VERY warm over there. But, still, I've been in some hot places and I never sweated THAT much... maybe he needs different antiperspirant :)
Thanks for the info! All I knew was that McLaren and Ferrari were in the back but I didn't know why.

Can someone clear this up for me?

I understand that all drivers in Q3 must start the race on Q3 tyres ans those drivers from Q1 and Q2 can start on any tyres they wish.

If this is true then a dry race today will see the first 10 drivers pit on lap 1 and the driver in P11 will inherit the lead.

Am I paranoid? I just want Webber to win

That rule is only in effect when quali and the start of the race are dry.

no if the race is dry then they wont have to start on wets. I assume they can choose their tyres for the start of the race considering the Q was classed as wet leaving the rule of having to start on the qualifying tyre as null and void.

Darn No Rain....imagine what it coulda been like with rain

It's good enough, don't you think?

No. Overtaking looks like it's going to be a huge issue this season.

Hamilton was clearly faster than Sutil until he got within a second of him. Same for Alonso on Button and Hamilton on Kubica in Oz.

Faster drivers being held and contained by slower drivers driving defensively is not good for the sport. Rain would have probably prevented that and made the race more entertaining.

Brilliant race McLaren drivers drove brilliantly strong drivers and constructor positions. Wonder if Ferrari will be worried 3 engine blow ups in one race?

Taking the point that Alonso's clutch didn't work from the begining of the race... Ferrari could be very proud that he almost finished in that place.

What do you think about the "warning"?
