Piquet looked very downbeat after qualifying today. I think he knows the game is up.

Aye. If Renault kick him out now, what do you think will happen to him?

There are probably some events around the world which he could enter to keep his arm in. My initial thought is that he tries to find a drive in GP2 as quickly a possible, for the remainder of this season (if possible) or next season, so as to gain some more experience and rebuild his confidence. Piquet has got the talent required; things just have not worked out this time round; I hope he doesn't throw in the towel.

That sounds like a good idea, although I'm not sure he'd be eligible for GP2 anymore..? I'd like to see him at another team where he doesn't have all the pressures of Briatore/Alonso/Renault. Campos might be interested in him.

I may be wrong but i've never seen much talent in the guy.....

Have you only seen him race in Formula One?

He ran lewis close in GP2 though it was lewis' first season and Piquet's second; but never the less Piquet was a strong challenger. He was good in A1 too.

I watched him GP2 as well and I would agree that he seemed OK there, but I think he has hit a talent wall now.

Well some sort of wall, not necessarily talent!

I think this is Piquet's last race. MAYBE he gets another race, but i doubt it. I hope he finds another ride with less pressure.

Nelson has had many a time to prove himself but has failed. Flavio has made it a bit difficult for him with a different car to Fernando but he should be able to get into at least q3 on a regular basis and make the car work for him. But I have said before that he should at least get a full season so I don't think you should axe him now.

Its pretty obvious that today was Piquet's last race. No need for Flavio to walk away while he is still racing out there but to qualify 15th and finish 12th when your team mate can put it on pole and appear to have the pace to fight for a podium today is just unacceptable on a weekend when your suppose to impress to hold on to your drive.

Grosjean will be in that second Renault seat for Valencia.

Flavio is a w***er for not even staying on the pitwall while one of his driver is out there racing, regardless of his current status within the team!

great show of what the next driver can expect if he doesnt deliver the goods.

yeh, not very profesional.

looks like Piquet is gone then, shame really perhaps if he had started in a force india or a torro rosso he'd of had a better start.

But i think with Lewis matching and somtimes out doing alonso in 2007 the same was expected of piquet.

Perhaps he'll get a drive with the newer teams.

Nelson is a great talent but probably not in terms of F1, maybe he might be a talent for other motorsports?

Every F1 driver out there is the cream of the crop, and we should also admire the bravery of ALL f1 drivers past/present, the good/not-so-good in light of the accidents we have seen in the past week... every driver faces tremendous risk out there driving in such high speeds, no matter what people say about "its their job"... their bravery and dedication should not be overlooked...

good luck to Nelson and all the best to him!
