No coverage, no interest. No interest, no sponsors. No sponsors, no team.

Now tell me, would F1 be more attractive to the citizens of the US if it wasn't associated with Mosely's revolting sexual habits?

If F1 was first invented in the USA by the need to smuggle moonshine then it would be more attractive to US citizens :hehe:

i don't see why F1 isn't attractive the US i mean its actualy a world championship that other countries take part in rather than just them.

that would be awesome! the US needs to feel a presence in the sport for it to be fully embraced over there. I know it hasnt worked out too well with the A1 and no doubt it would be hard for them to be successful straight away but hopefully it helps get races back in North America.

wonder what powerplant they will run... would have to be an American... could they rebadge the standard Cossie engine to Ford even though they no longer share lineage? :hehe:

Ford may make an F1 engine for them, who knows?

my bet is they will go for merc, or ferrari and if not them then toyota

i bet Dancia patrick goes on about wanting to test for them now.

Wouldn't it be a Merc Engine badged as Chrysler? DaimlerChrysler owns Mercedes don't they?

its just Daimler now they still own shares in Chrysler but only small amount.
I am pretty sure the plans for USF1 is to enter with the spec Cossie engine.

Surely the problem is with the Americans, because everyone else seems to like F1.

You see thats the problem right there, its international. Theres a lot of die hard F1 fans in the states, its just that the casual race fans havent caught on because its not American based. I cant think of one sport the majority of Americans like that is international.

How much media coverage is this story getting in the US right now?

It got a good amount of coverage on all the motorsport channels as well as a few mentions in the mainstream sports press, unfortunately, other than the formation of the team, there isn't much news to create any buzz. People are just saying " cool lets see how it plays out" . frankly the only negative comments have come from afar, people here in the US are (if thy care at all) are at least interested in how the team will shape up. Even NASCAR fans seem to think its a good idea.

You see here in the US there are a LOT of sports to follow. MLB Baseball, NFL football, NBA Basketball, Hockey, Soccer, and we've already got 3 NASCAR series as well as IndyCar, Grand Am and even ALMS. Its sports oversaturation here.
