I think what motivates him is the fact that he has a beef to settle with mclaren. I am willing to bet you the very first chance he gets ..... even if its with renault .....he's gonna make em feels it. I know you might not like it ... but that the way it is... he wants revenge ..believe me

Granted, Alonso wouldn't mind settling an old score with McLaren; but his first priority is to go to a team at which he can win titles.

yes ofcos you right there - thats why I figure he will stay with Renault next year based on the very recent improvements with the car. we all know he a very arrogant kind a guy but in the same breath extremely talented and what he does best - racing --- and i cant wait for when the time comes that he in the position to lay out some punishment

What about yellow and black? I don't know if it were only used in testing, or if it even was used at all on the cars, but a picture was put on this forum of it and it looked the business.

Fernando Alonso turned down an opportunity to switch immediately to Ferrari out of loyalty to his current F1 employer Renault.

That is the claim of a Spanish newspaper, following reports from Italy that the former champion has now penned a deal to race with the famous Maranello-based team in 2011.

Diario AS said Ferrari were prepared to replace Kimi Raikkonen but Alonso put a stop to the deal because it would have left Renault in the lurch less than three months from the start of the 2009 season.

"In short, the Italian team's sudden interest came too late for Fernando," AS said.

I don't believe the story is true either. I feel that if Ferrari phoned up Alonso now, he'd sign a deal with them. That said, if there is some truth to the story, Alonso choosing to stay at Renault is maybe not a bad idea. Ferrari seem to be having trouble with their KERS system etc. and the new regulations could upset the order anyway.
