The pinnacle of motorsports. I think it's time for a new slogan. We've seen images of Dlaminated tires for three consecutive GPs now. When was the last time anyone remembers that happening?

It's not as if we haven't seen delaminated tyres before. Lewis Hamilton had a fair few of those back in the 2007/2008 days, including two consecutive years at Istanbul Park, and the most infamous of all, in Shanghai.

He also had another during the pre-Pirelli era, in Budapest, and this is all off the top of my head.

It was as bad and it wasn't racing, it was false. Those tyres aren't fit to make washing up gloves out of.

:yawn::yawn::yawn:

Go and watch something else then.

RC, if you want a dose of 'real racing' try some of the Aussie racing series....full throttle, contact racing brilliant stuff.

That is a bogan sport full of rednecks. if you want to watch real touring cars watch the German DTM or Italian Superstars . better cars and no bogans.

I've been a fan of the Aussie series (currently V8 Supercars) since the 70's. If you watch it and give it a chance you couldn't help but be impressed.

I really believe the Australian GP should be moved to Bathurst. An awesome circuit, perfect for watching motor racing. A true test of team, car and driver IMO.

Not long ago Jenson and Craig Loundes (I think it was Craig) did a lap in each others cars there. Here's footage of Jenson from chopper and on-board showing what an awesome circuit it is.

Apparently Nando had a puncture with his second last set of tires. So they called him in a little earlier than planned. Lucky his tire didn't blow completely before he got into the pits.

Ferrari played down the fact that Fernando Alonso picked up a puncture in the Spanish Grand Prix, saying it never jeopardised his win.

It emerged after the Barcelona race that Alonso had a cut tyre when he came in for his fourth and final pitstop on lap 49 of 66.

The pitstop was not slowed at all and Alonso rejoined still comfortably ahead of main rival Kimi Raikkonen's Lotus.

Asked by AUTOSPORT if the puncture had threatened the victory, Ferrari boss Stefano Domenicali said it had all been well in hand.

"It was not a serious problem," said Domenicali.

"We had the data that the tyre was starting to go down slowly and our strategy was to stop him two laps later.

"But in order not to risk anything because we were controlling of course the pace of Kimi, we decided to bring him in in order to avoid any stress on certain corners."

Ferrari finished first and third in the race with Alonso and Felipe Massa, its best combined result of 2013 so far.

It may not be a sprint but you'd at least expect them to be faster than the GP2, Even at the end of the race on low fuel they were mostly still lapping slower than the GP2 pole lap.

We've seen images of the same delaminated tire carcass for three consecutive GPs on multiple cars. That was my question. I know it's happened in the past, but I personally can't remember seeing images like that on television, for three consecutive GPS. This isn't a Lewis Hamilton thing so not sure why you bring him up.

What it is; is a Dali-esque bizarre point in the sport where a car can't go at 100% for more than two laps without destroying the tires. Given the choice, not a sing team would opt for the tire situation we're in.

Oh, she's the team's barista, macchiato specialist.

Wrong: see how she has her hands?
She's Alonso's personal fluffer.

BTW: the guy to the far right in the same row is Felipe's fluffer.
