I was glad Lewis got 2nd today, I thought he was destined for 3rd. Alonso screwed it up, he could've challenged Vettel for pole today.


Interesting, I'm looking forward to watching the highlights tonight. How do you weigh up Lewis' chances for tomorrow, mate?


If you see qualifying, I'd say his chances are equal to the rest of the drivers in the top 10. :D


Pretty close then! Good times :D

Hopefully Seb won't do a runner tomorrow... as we saw all too often last season.

I really like Lewis' long run pace on both tyres. His softs are consistently quick and he made the super softs last for an incredibly long time on Saturday, albeit, during cooler temps. I smell a one-stopper. :) Is it remotely possible that this will be a smooth race for him? McLaren, please! I remain hopeful.

Well, that's one worry we will never have this season. It would mean a remarkable upturn in performance for Jens...a minimum of half a second just to get alongside Lewis. :hehe:

Gee its becoming pretty interesting this championship thingy........ but Vettel was so fast :eek:

Hopefully Alonso will challenge Vettel on the start. Or at least hound him for the race. Not really sure how tire wear will work out, so that Red Bull/Ferrari duel should be interesting to watch :morepopcorn:

Alonso usually makes positions at the start, if he gets to second quickly it won't really make too much of a difference if he was on pole or not, it's going to be interesting to see the Ferrari's race pace.

Car seems pretty good though, Massa not too far behind.

On qualifying battles, I think Grojsean has constantly out qualified Kimi?

Pedro De la Rosa out-qualifies the Marussias, he did that in Monaco too, HRT look to have advanced beyond them now.

Poor stuff from Vergne sees him behind the Caterham. Maybe he's been put into f1 too soon? Or had a particular issue.

On Alonso's last Q3 lap he didn't stay right for the start/finish line but took the usual racing line as if he wanted to do another flying lap, but he didn't do another one.

Should be a great race though,
