We're merely fans not paid commentators? I'm sure he had an acceptance speech handy, anyway what can you do? They chose the recipients after Australia. :hehe:

Yeah lol, fact is Jenson deep down knows it's a fast and Lewis must just laugh his head off. Man, i really want to move forward to testing, i haven't been this desperate for the new season to start in all my life.

Gonna be some frustrated and gutted people next year, Lewis is not going to be one of them.

Say Mercedes do bring out another flop (and I pray to God they dont) - how are you going to show your face round here....?

A 'flop' would be the MP4/18 which never hit the track due to crazy slow pace and crazy pathetic reliability.

The Mercedes this year won a race, and locked out the front row. Their problem was lack of development pace...and a concept which shot themselves in the foot since it limited their development platform with this car. They've shown they can bring a race winner out, in 2013 they have to prove they have the infrastructure and manpower to keep up.

Very good points, that I agree with. And Ive nothing against what Injen is saying. The point I was (badly?) trying to make is: Injen is being a very brave (or confident?) man with some very strong comments about how some people are going to be made to look foolish next year - but its not out of the realms of possibility that HE might be the one to look foolish - and I wondered if he has prepared for that possibility....?

I do hope he is right though!! :D

Well yeah, I prefer the 'lets wait and see' approach...since Brawn is no God of F1...just Gabriel.

It's funny Hammer how you must always bring McLaren down in a way to justify Lewis' move to Metcedes. While on the flip side go on and on how Mercedes are going through restructuring etc etc almost as though youre trying to convince yourself Lewis made the right move more than anything. But do you know who was behind the MP4-18 flop you so randomly selected... Adrian Newey. Funny that, we know your opinion of him now.

I wish Lewis well but it's "fans" like you who make me wish his Mercedes experiment is a massive failure and he'll be begging to come back. And I do think he will be back in a McLaren one day.

But what if upon his return, he finds Vettel there, who after winning his 6th title is invinsible :twisted::twisted:

He'll be at Ferrari before he's at McLaren. Looks like a loose/loose situation. :hehe:

You've got to be careful with a loose girl - a leg falling off can be a real distraction! :hehe:

Of course I was meaning lose.

Lewis may well end up back at McLaren in the future, he's said so himself and Whitmarsh has expressed the same sentiments, so nothing astonishing about that. I still think he's right to make this move now and would say the same even if Mercedes doesn't produce race winning cars. He needs to step out from the McLaren camp and try something different, where he isn't considered as just a highly talented child prodigy, but as a valued member of the team integral to developing the car and building the team. It may also help to silence those who say Lewis has had an easy ride , always in the best car etc etc.
