Agree. It's not bad but it's retro. I actually like their current livery, not sure the chrome is anything specific to Mclaren, but I still think its one of the best liveries. If they could come up with a cool orange one that would be ace!

didn't the chrome come with the Merc engines, after fag adverts got banned.

They had Merc engines when they had West and the whole black/silver period. Then in between that and the Red Vodaphone I think maybe chrome crept in from Merc

For me though, if they could grab the chance to start here

I like it when teams dictate the color schemes, not the sponsors. It would be nice to have McLaren orange back but somehow I highly doubt that will happen.

Maybe after Lewis gets his WDCs with Merc and returns to Mclaren he can make it a condition for returning

They really should have their own brand colour as the underpinning theme, but with Tooned being red maybe the old Can Am days are a distant memory and (marlboro) red is now their colour

I always imagine the orange to belong to the "Bruce" Mclaren and not the "Ron" Mclaren.

However I think Orange is the only colour that is really available.

The name Mclaren similarly belonged to the Bruce side which was the one with racing pedigree not the Project 4 side. Ron brought ambition and sponsor money

That looks good. Just a little bit Force Indiaish though. Can you do it with the whole nose cone orange? And just the white bubble round the cockpit?

Telmex as a McLaren sponsor next season? I recall someone predicting that and getting a huge amount of flaming!

McLaren were let down by Perez's antics. Good race for Button though.
