I think this season will see Jenson receive the absolute thrashing thats been on the cards ever since he joined Mclaren. A capable and very good driver, when things are perfect (like most on the grid).
Like Korea in 2010 when Jenson cannot get a setup with perfect balance, he starts to gamble heavily and has his bottom handed to him, then everyone says 'it was just a bad weekend because of an inappropriate setup'

No its not, its because unless the car is perfectly balanced Jenson doesnt like to push too hard and normally comes last of the established drivers.

This season the tyres are not only tricky to get right with a good setup, but they are also likely to change the balance of the car during the race. Drivers that cannot adapt race to race let alone intra race are going to get thrashed by those who can adjust to the cars changing balance.

The clue was Jenson finding understeer and oversteer issues on the same lap, he cant get the tyres working, cant find balance blah blah blah. He either has to accept that he will probably finish mid field in a race or right at the back if he continues his mad gambles like switching to brakes that work best for those that like late braking and are heavy on the left pedal.

Without Lewis making errors or letting his team make mistakes he would be about 50 points ahead after 5 races

The fact that Jenson told the press that he was the number one last year when Lewis was down, and the amount of help from a Whitmarsh who 'did everything he could' to ensure Jenson won last year is going to allow many to enjoy seeing how this season pans out

Remember even in the Brawn, when Jenson had the fastest car he still got wasted by the oldest man on the track Reubens everytime the car was not perfectly balanced

So come on Lewis, hand out a vigorous thrashing to the 2009 WC and his creepy sugar daddy Whitmarsh

Come on guys, what's with all the Jenson bashing? He' a world champ and a very capable winner. Look at Melbourne... total dominance.

I am hoping for some good results from hamiliton here. I know he loves this track and one of the few with the balls to go all out!

I expect the same, only hope McLaren stop f**king up Lewis. They've successfully kept it 'close' between both of them so far thanks to their unique f**k ups reserved for Lewis.

Admittedly, I've been known to doze off from time to time so forgive me if I missed this but, did Jenson actually tell the press last year that he was the #1 driver of McLaren? Really? #1...he said that?! Good grief! Maybe that's the sort of thinking that affords him a good night sleep. Good for you Jenson...if that strategy works for you.

I'm just say...

We seem to be going around in circles, everyone, including Jenson acknowledges that Lewis is the better driver when it comes to wrestling a ill handling car... I firmly believe that if McLaren had the perfect car that suited both drivers; Jenson and Lewis would be very close come the end of the season. In a less than perfect car, Lewis would win, I have no doubt (assuming he doesn't crash).

Myown...the voice of reason. I cant argue with anything you've said there. .Jenson has never been my favourite driver, Ive been fairly ambivalent about him. My problem is I'm starting to dislike Jenson, even to not want him to do well. And I dont like this in me. Jenson is doing what he needs to do to achieve as well as he can at Mclaren, and one can't blame him for that. My feeling like this about Jenson is a direct result of Whitmarsh(and I know you differ from me on this one Myown). The more Whitmarsh says Lewis cant save his tyres, the more I want Jenson to fail at it. The more Whitmarsh says Jenson can lead a team and lewis is only learnin, the more I want Lewis to come out on top. The more Whitmarsh waxes lyrical about Jenson and cries when he wins, the more I want Jenson to fail. The more he says Jenson is a wet weather genious, the more I want him to crash in the wet.
I dont like thinking like this and its grossly unfair to Jenson, I realise that. Lewis will always be my favourite and I do think this is a good driver pairing......but .......well you know the but.

If you have this problem with these Whitmarsh comments, you must have this problem with every single F1 pundit out there.

I think your hatred for Whitmarsh has seriously clouded your judgement.
