Overstressing a rim is very evry very far fetched

As far fetched as breaking one 2x in the same circuit.
Edit: specially on a track that is notoriously harsh on the front-left tire.

you know how hard he would have to hit somthing to hurt that rim lol?

Its machined from Magnesium each wheel rim never usualy does more than 30laps since they change them so your saying lewis was driving so hard and bouncing off the kerbs that badly that he manged to crack a Magnesium wheel rim in 40-60laps?

On a smoth racing circuit as apposed to the bumpyness of Monaco or Singapoore?

I mean of course his wheel rim would break before his susspension arms right?

I know you really want to blame lewis for this but last time i checked he was racing driver not an enkei wheel assembly employee.

Then how come it broke, and not the tire, not the suspension arm, not the brake assembly?
The same side that Heikki broke. 2 broken rims on the same side for the same circuit.

And I'm not blaming Lewis specifically, i'm saying he was not crusing (he just came off a Fastest lap FFS!) and i think there's more to it than another manufacturing problem. Let's see if they get another defective right front rim at Turkey or have to make another 3 stop.

It certainly looks like a manufacturing and/or design fault. I don't remember Hamilton hitting anything or anyone.

look it wasn't though driving the car hard or anything like that it was a manufacturing fault just because it happened to kovi at the same race means nothing

I was terribly upset at the end of the race. I was really looking forward to Hamilton finishing in second and pulling up just one point behind Button in the championship. All that went out the window there at the end and I walked away with probably the worst heart-sinking feeling I've had from a race since Brazil in 2008 when I thought Hamilton lost the championship.

it's not that bad, there are still plenty of races left.

That's one thing that calms me down a bit. The other thing was Hamilton being positive about future. I KNOW he'll beat Jenson in the end. But the question is can he contend?

Congratulations to Webber! I thought he couldn't make it this year, with his recent failures, but I'm glad he proved me wrong. What an amazing weekend!

Alguersuari did a BRILLIANT start to the race, it was really bad they messed up his pit stop. At least he got a point in the end; I kind of feel bad for Hamilton, but it was for a greater justice :D

He also went into chandock.

I don't really care about Chandhok. :hehe: But yeah, it was a weird mistake.
