Who's going to want him on their team now?

Piquet Sr! :hehe:

Piquet's a bit of an idiot isn't he? Who's going to want him on their team now? His driving wasn't much of a recommendation to start with but he's really shot himself in the foot after this.

Well like father like son, at least on the attuide side of things.

I'd be surprised and disappointed if Symonds was involved in this. I would not put anything past Briatore, though.

Briatore is capable of doing it i wouldn't put it past him though i still think that this may all be about nothing.

intresting article by autosport here

http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/78446

Key sentence in that article is:

Sources claim that the Singapore race-fix matter came to light on July 26 - the day of Piquet's last race for Renault in Hungary - when his father Nelson contacted FIA president Max Mosley to make him aware of what had happened.

Can easily be bollocks of course, but if it's true, it kinda says it all...

Would not exactly be surprising!

I agree. I cant see Pat using those tactics. Briatore would sell his mother if it helped his cause. Absolutely plausible with him involved. And if its true I dont blame the Piquet's one little bit for spilling the beans. Whether you like them or not those tactics-telling a driver to crash, are disgusting.

EVWERYONE would have been involved. why else would Fernando and his race engineer want a short first stint starting from the back of the grid? they all played their part to orchestrate this tactic.

Well I wouldnt put it past Alonso, he's already proved he doesnt care how he wins. But Pat? Maybe they put him in a cupboard while they planned it :hehe:

When did he do that?

i kind of think that it's going to be hard to prove if the assumption that everyone had to be on it to work is correct. i mean alonso would never admit to planning to be near the back of the grid after qualifying.

and the possibility of sour grapes from the piquet camp is still the most likely from where i am.

I hope

i mean flavio is one of the most ruthless team bosses, but i'd put even him as uncapable or unwilling to do such a thing.
