- 27 Nov 09, 00:34#172223hmm, I'm not sure if I like this game.
First things, the graphics, which, to be fair, aren't as bad as people make out, yes yes, they're not exactly good but if you can't see past that, that's why 2010 is happening (the generaly consensus for the haters seemed to be, why not play an N64 which is pretty much saying, ruddy hell, I can't get Angelina Jolie, I guess i'll settle for Susan Boyle...)
Which, is just dumb, the graphics are about the same level as F106, better track detail, worse car detail, but this is minor
The main thing I found wrong with f106 was the third part of qualifying being impossibly difficult (I can be top 5 on most tracks with a McLaren, Toyota or Honda, which is what i always end up in in Q1+2, but 3 i'm a second off the pace in 10th) thankfully that's fixed. the main thing about this game is the utterly bewildering behaviour of the AI, who don't know how to overtake, and would sooner ram you. I cranked it up to hard within about 5 mins, and I seem to either dominate (I was on pole by about a second in australia, and was never challanged in the race) but on other tracks i'm nowhere. The wheel is good, but I haven't yet given it too much time. The car control is very good, reminds me alot of all the F109 rfactor mods out there.
the thing though that really put me off, is the pit stops, is it me, or have you no control over them? is there an interactive option i've missed, on most races, it takes about 15 seconds for a pitstop to happen, while the computer takes less than 10, which for me deems the game unplayable.
