I hope Williams are not stuck in the garage because they mistakened Petrobras with Petronas. I remember when my GF once did the same with Unleaded and diesel :hehe:

Is this the same girlfriend that was looking for 710 fluid for the car because the cap was upside down?

I remember playing the EA F1 2002 game when I was a kid...and driving in Interlagos, on the main straights there's this huge sponsor logo "PETROBRAS"....and I'm like hey are they making fun of Petronas or just misspelled it?? Whenever I see Petrobras now I go back to that moment.

Oh I used to love that game, can't beat the worlds most absurdly twitchy steering at what seemed like 1 billion MPH. Man I miss the GameCube.

EA F1 2002 and Challenge 99-2004 basically completed the 'gaming' part of my life. Tried out Codemasters but just didn't like it one bit for some reason, maybe I grew up or something.

Could be some confusion at Williams.

"Felipe is faster than you"

"No not you Felipe Massa.....you Felipe Nasr"

"No Nasr, not Massa"

" Geez, Felipe who used to drive for Ferrai is faster than Felipe who did not used to drive for Ferrari...do you understand?"

Valterri also announced he want's to be called Felipe over the radio. I can only imagine the confusion when Massa and Nasr are both driving in Free Practice.

Worst Kept Secret.

Williams have finally announced Rob Smedley will join them in April, in the newly created role of Head of Vehicle Performance.

Williams have confirmed that Rob Smedley is re-uniting with Felipe Massa after joining the Grove-based team as Head of Vehicle Performance.

Smedley's new role is more senior than that of race engineer, which he performed on Massa's car at Ferrari, meaning the pair won't be working as closely together as before.

Williams have described the role of 'Head of Vehicle Performance' as 'a newly created position which will strengthen the trackside team whilst also supporting the development work back at the factory to help bring more performance to the car throughout the season.'

Smedley will begin work at Williams in April and 'will be supported by Race Engineers Andrew Murdoch, who is engineer to Felipe Massa, and Jonathan Eddolls, who remains with Valtteri Bottas in 2014.'

The announcement of the 40-year-old Briton's switch from Ferrari was not unexpected, with stories linking Smedley to Williams first appearing towards the end of last season.

However, his linking up with Massa again is, in fact, coincidental. Talks between Smedley and Williams began early last summer and a deal was agreed before Ferrari decided to replace Massa with Kimi Raikkonen.

Massa was himself announced as a Williams driver in November after spending a total of eight seasons racing for the Scuderia.

Thought he'd end up with Massa. Those two get along really well. He may not be engineering Massa but I bet Massa put a word in.

Well according to the article I posted above Rob was taken on before Massa. - Maybe Rob put in a good word for Massa?
