Pretty good race. The F138 showed its a fairly handy car when the track suits it. It is also not too shabby in tire management.

Nando drove an excellent race and it was a well deserved win for the team and him. Felipe race was seriously compromised by having to stay out one more lap in the opening stint.

Merc clearly have a very fast car with perhaps some tire management issues. I'm sure they will get on top of that and then they will be very hard to beat.

Hamilton's closing laps were excellent. He kept his cool when many others would not have and hung onto to 3rd. In reality he had no right to that. Seb is car that was, on those last few laps, so much faster with fresh option rubber should have eaten Hamilton easily. But Hamilton was simply too good and Seb panicked and over-cooked it into that corner on the last lap thereby giving Hamilton a slither of breathing room. Lewis did the rest.

Good effort from Button, the McLaren is definitely close now. I said last year I thought McLaren chose the wrong Sauber driver, and, the best driver for them was probably Sutil or the Hulk.

As bad as these tires are, I think this race has shown us how stupid DRS is. Get rid of it ASAP IMO. Getting interested in some of those DRS passes would be like getting excited about a penalty in soccer with a 80' wide goal or finding a slam dunk on a basketball ring 3 feet lower interesting.

Great race. The tyre based strategies could add an interesting dimension afterall if Pirelli can get it right consistently or fine tune the deltas between the tyres better.
DRS is a bit of a farce though, imagine Alonso using DRS to defend from the driver BEHIND him? haha that wasnt in the script of encouraging overtaking.
Talking about Alonso - what a great driver - he is like a pest that never goes away and you can never get rid of. Given good cars he is correct in saying his greatest rival will be Lewis.
Funny how Lewis yet again drops back in the race, but not surprising if you assume that he quailifies beyond the cars 'normal' window. 2 podiums in a car that is 4th fastest on race pace aint bad at all and before the season we would all have happily grabbed.
McLaren - the car is not that bad and Alonso or Lewis driving it would get much better results
Hulk in the Sauber clearly better than Sergio in the McLaren, makes sense Ferrari didnt snap him up last year.
BBc Suzy Perry is starting to grow on me, she is smarter than she looks and not too bad to look at. In the BBC post race Forum, talking about Hamilton resisting the fast catching Seb, she asked DC a question about how much the driver could be told in the car and still drive as fast as possible, DC says 'anyone can make a good chess move given enough time, the best drivers will process the info and not get distracted by the pitwall etc' So she says 'like Senna at Monaco those years go when he binned it way out in front after been told a driver was catching him?' DC - er um 'I was never in that position'

I'd like to see some hard evidence to show this. :)

Only mclaren could provide this. Call them and ask that out of the 3 drivers who have driven from them, Button, Alonso and Lewis, that they have loads of telemetry and data fro,

'Hi Ron, Is Button the best out of the 3 at getting performance from an under performing car?'

Rons reply '@?!!££$%%>><>?&&^%$$£%%^"&&'

I have seen him look under the car a few times but I am not sure he talks to planks
