Maybe we're just seeing Perez's true form. A competent mid-field runner but nothing more.

"I find it quite amazing that after three weekends when I had two good weekends in terms of maximising the car potential, that after one bad weekend I received so many criticisms.

"But I think this is quite normal and usual for a team like McLaren."

"Two" good weekends? Sergio, you have NOT had "two" good weekends.

Makes you wonder what he considers to be a good weekend.

Well, not really, he considers weekends like his first two to be good.....

But they were not good.

The Scrappy-do, to Buttons Scooby-do, you could say.

Its good for Sergio, scoring points and finishing just outside in the fifth best team and in your first 2 races is good for Sergio or many others with 3 years experience.
Button and his part of the team, could only get 2 points in those races

Not for McLaren though, its a near disaster, but thats not Sergios fault

Its ridiculous how easy public opinion is swayed by the media and has swung against him and conveniently forgotten the team

They employed him so if he is bad......

never mind lets all jump on the bandwagon

Relative to 'car potential' he hasn't done that bad.

No where near as well as Jenson though. They've been miles apart so far.

Miles apart as one fifth place finish for Jenson? McLaren is struggling and Sergio is the easy scapegoat.

Should've been TWO fifth places, sadly. But, results aside, the pace says it all.

Still, it's early days.

erm what do you mean the pace says it all? He is only a couple of tenths behind Button in quali and has been compromised in 2 races by the teams guinea pic strategy

In 2007 when Lewis joined Ron told him hed probably be a few tenths behind Alonso. So the team accept that a relatively inexperienced driver will be a little slower than the established 200 race veteran for whom the car has been tailored for.

So what exactly is he doing wrong? a couple of offs in practice? so what Alonso does the same

When you think about it its just a smokescreen and everyone is falling for it.

Brundle pipes up with his prejudged nonsense, well in Brundles first few races for mcLaren he didnt do much better, he came best result 8th and didnt have any points, and went his whole career without a single win, he never really did what Sergio did in the Sauber

Hulk is better but McLaren didnt take him, they took Sergio for whatever reason so fingers should be pointed at them.

This is why that team is down the creek without a paddle, the place is run like some kind of fashion industry backstab and bitchfest

If it was a public company with a good float of shares available to the public and there was any upside profit wise then its not inconceivable that I would be at the AGM in a certain capacity vocally demanding answers

edit; I see you changed your post completely whilst I was responding :nono:
Your witty contribution was why dont I go try get a job running the place i.e dont have an opinion

That's like saying Lewis should have won 3 more GPs last year. The adage in racing is; it's easier to make a fast car reliable than it is to make a reliable car fast.

How about sending them a strongly worded e-mail?

Funny you should say that but I already did back in 2010, it was to do with the centralised control unit and the team reshuffling, no reply though strangly enough

I have sent emails to Williams and got a reply but then I have Williams shares
