Lol bullsh*t. Rosberg wasn't even on a hot lap...was it Hamiltons fault if Rosberg couldn't get a gap himself?

Thinking about this a little more now while looking at the times for my pool picks... I don't know what's more pathetic, the complaint logged by Mercedes/Rosberg or the fact they had the cojones to claim he would have taken pole.

It's hard/impossible to not bash Jenson; he's the self-proclaimed team leader who is being systematically taken apart by his team-mate. He had no other option but to rely on his team-mate's setup and thankfully, barely made it into Q3. I suppose he thought he was going to set the world on fire because he was atop the standings in FP3. Now he's back in the media saying he has no idea why he has no grip. I feel like I've heard that before. To be honest, I'm kinda sick of his failure to perform and the excuses. So, he makes it really easy for anyone to bash him. He really needs to get his act together!

I'm just saying...

When did he proclaim himself team leader? I'm pretty certain he has never done that at McLaren. McLaren claim they have both drivers as equal so there can't be a lead driver. He won't be the first driver to try their team mates set-up. Lookingat how close 2nd to 10th is, 9th isn't bad considering where he's been in previous qualifying sessions.

He did this during a media scrum...can't remember the timeline but the quote has been recorded a couple times right here on this forum. Andrew, you mention how close 2nd to 10th is but this isn't a good perspective because in reality, being "close" does nothing for the driver—close only looks good on paper. In Button's case, if he loses two spots at the start or due to no grip, lose places late in the race, he could easily be out of the points for the race due to the task of passing at this circuit. He's not exactly known for passing brilliance.

You're such a closet Mclaren/Button lover. :cloud9:

The funny thing is I used to support Button back in his Williams and Benetton days.

As for me supporting McLaren, the day that happens is the day DD lets Fraffypants out of the dungeon. :hehe:

Is that what all the muffled ruckus is? :hehe:

Never one to go quietly was Fraffypant. :hehe:

Is there no appeal process or early release based on good behavior for Fraffypants? :P

Not pole:
"In Q2 it was looking good and in Q3 there was a good chance to do very well, but not enough for pole today. Anything after that was possible, but everything has to go perfectly and it didn't quite go that way. But it's still a small positive to take from today that the car is there or there abouts and quick in general."

There is a point where one exhausts all appeal options and Fraffy was well beyond that point...

This is what's written on the sky link... I guess just like Fox they take lots and lots of liberties with their reporting?

Mercedes claimed that, in doing so, Hamilton blocked Rosberg's tilt at securing pole

He was beyond appeal even before he joined. :hehe:

I have a good feeling about Roman Grosjean tomorrow. If he can get a good, and more importantly, a clean start, I believe the Lotus' have the race pace to be able to secure the win. In free practice, their race pace was lightening fast, and tomorrow is supposed to be even hotter which should suit the Lotus'.

Maybe Roman will be able to do a one stop because he's proved in the past that he can look after the tyres.

Good grief! I'm guessing if relatives are also paying the price for his sins, he must have been diabolical.
