Although I can see that Lewis is perturbed by the somewhat Jekyll and Hyde personality of the cars from Saturday to Sunday, it can't be a bad idea to get feedback from other drivers. Another perspective and another seat of the pants opinion. I know I won't figure out something McLaren can't.

Oh BTW... I've figured out another thing that lasts forever, like a diamond. A Lewis Hamilton dramatic topic on this forum. :hehe:

They're faceless for the most part, with helmets and goggles it's difficult to tell one from the other, given the fact that they have multiple jobs yeah, it's not out of the real of possibility. . . . . So what if he didn't know who the guy was, we're not privy to whether or not they went out for a beer later, or Lewis let the guy look at naked pictures of Nicole to cheer him up or whatever.

 That, my friend, made me laugh. More than once. So for that:

:mexwave:

But, I kind of think the "faceless" ones are the ones who might actually go that extra mile for you, with many examples throughout sports lore. Having said that though, I've read that beneath the PR exterior, Lewis was actually a bit introverted at some point. Don't know if that's still the case (if it ever was), but if true, that could shed some light on things.

But it seems a weakness, because those guys have your life -- figuratively and literally -- in their hands come race day. I was just surprised he didn't know them, given how long he's been there, that's all. I think he's eliminating weaknesses, as shown by his year so far, and I just think that's one area he could improve upon. Not on a particular timetable, but hopefully it's registering to him that having personal relationships, especially in stressful situations, shouldn't be underestimated.

Even if it's just one or two guys, who could say to the other guys "you know, Lewis is a real good guy." But that doesn't seem to be going on, from what I can tell, but maybe this event is a catalyst. (All just one person's opinion, of course.)

Of course, he should be able to just show up and drive like hell, if that's what he wants to do, but that approach doesn't seem to be yielding the best results. But it's a learn-as-you-go world (for most of us anyway). And no matter what, he has my support 100%, because he's already given us countless thrills. . . . With many more to come, I hope.

There's some interesting angles on this point.

But, uh, I ain't sure McL quite have a handle on things at the moment, so it'll be interesting, to say the least.

Ok.. My flight just came in from Bahrain. Was an interesting experience...

Anyway.. what a Horrible thing to do to Lewis! I saw with my own eyes that rat of a mechanic take one of the old chipped up wheel nuts from a pile of junk in the corner, to put on Lewis car in the pitstop!! What the heck is happening at Mclaren?!!

Lewis is reported to have boughtg a bespoke Zonda (£1.6m) He's the second person to buy one, the first a business man in south Africa. You can designate the name badge on the back, his is 760LH He's also asked for manual transmision. His spokesman wouldnt comment as Lewis is discreet about his private cars and just likes to praise the mercedes ones hes given.
The car will have a V12 engine with 750bhp, it does 0-62 in 3secs, top speed 225mph. It's a road going variant of the track only Zonda R -but with more power.
