What do you think?

I think NO. He hasn't gotten better with time.

his WDC came when he was let pass by his teammate... to you guys that means he's not a fitting champion. So i'm going to use your rules this time. Not only that.... but he wasnt better than in 2007.

2009 he had a ghost teammate. When people measure Schumacher, they say he had poor teammates, which means he was also not a worthy champion. So i'm going to go by your book as well. Definitely not better than 2007.

2010 he was not better than 2007. I think he only won 2 races... so not better than 2007.

Let's see how bad he "crushes" Jenson in 2011 now that Jenson has had input into this yr's car.

How about you? you didnt answer your very same question.....
Do you think he's been better in the seasons following??

In 2009, he had one of the crappiest cars on the grid... and in the second part of the year, he scored more points than anyone else. Too little too late, but worth noting in your argument.

Additionally Massa's had little to no input into the 2010 car for Ferrari as he missed most of the previous season, let's see if Alonso crushes him in 2011.

So did Alonso in that Crash gate Renault. It was even worse.

Massa had been in Ferrari many seasons before... to claim he had very little to no input (and comparing that to Jenson when he came to Mclaren from another team) holds no water.

Dont think Alonso will crush Massa! crushing is reserved for Lewis.

^^ Just pointing out, that duplicity in arguments goes both ways. Man I can't wait for the season to start so we can have current and more relevant discussions!

Its very clear Lewis has gotten better with time! Only a fool would disagree! But what people seem to forget is :wavey: the car :wavey: hasnt gotten any better,so they assess Lewis performances with those of his car compared to his rivals and not of his teammates driving the same car!

So if he hasnt gotten better  how did Jenson the WDC all of the sudden lose his abilities and lose to an unimproved Lewis!

And even if this "mediocre" Lewis still beats his WDC teammates on regular basis, imagine if he does improve :hehe:

He is the BEST of the grid! Shows it year after year

Do you understand the term "input"? Cars change every year, last years input doesnt translate the following year with a new car and different technical aspects to it!

Do you seriously judge a driver on qualifying speed alone?

Backtrack to your first comment,we're talking about fastest/speed between teammates, not who is the best on the grid!

Somebody seems to change criteria depending the situation, to get it to fit......
shows it post after post.

that's because you mustn't be able to think coherently, I mean you can't even remember the season gone very well, he won 3 not 2 races.
All that you've proven is your memory has gotten worse with time. :P

I'd say that Hamilton's best season was '07 too, fearless and under less pressure, he was incredibly consistently quick and made no real major mistakes to speak of. The same can not be said of any other season! I guess i'm a fool for using clear logic here then.

Your inability to reply to my post, and deviate from answering my question speaks volume!

If you want cool points for using  you got it!!

I think I gave you a fair assessment on how Lewis has gotten better!

the BEST bit was Facepalm
[sarcastically]:rofl::rofl::rofl: 25 points for me

No major mistakes? China? Brazil?
logic would say the numbers matter, 08 then has to be his best season as he took home the prize he set out to achieve.

Numbers, hm, he scored more points in '07 (only lost cause the standard was so ridiculously high that season all round), and Brazil only had a small error on the first lap, China is a weird one cause his tyre was shot to pieces, so i cannot class that as a major error on his part, only small. '08 had great drives like Germany but then crazily poor mistakes like in Canada, and then some really bad driving in Japan, Bahrain etc, so i just cannot see how people could say he drove a better season in 2008 personally. I think he generally drove better even last season than when he won the title myself...

Every one of his years after 07 has been better with 08 the better(est) In 07-08 he had a fantastic car so those results are a given! to me what he did in 09 was great, only if Macca wasnt a dog the first half! 2010 he welcomed another WDC,beat him in the process, had reliability problems unfortunate incidents and finished a handful of points behind his rivals !!

In 07 the title fight was between 2 teams not 3 so keep that in mind!

I tend to agree with China that was a hard one but still he didn't get it in the pits, although Brazil i still think he stuffed up by hitting something on his wheel.
Each season has its own pressures, different competitors, different car performance. He couldnt overcome them to take the prize in his rookie season, in 2008 with different circumstances he did. His drive in China 08 was immense considering the pressure.

Saying all that I think as the seasons have gone on he has shown he has become a better all round driver in terms of race craft and experience gained. But his title winning year would have to be his best.
