I'm just praying Hamilton isn't the next 'Crash Kid' victim :-?

They are both quite close... so fingers crossed. Lewis is quite sketchy and I have faith in Vettel, he CAN take him out.

That was a really unvelieveable pole lap... looked perfect from the get go, it was so perfect it looked slow... hehe.

Actually looking at the grid again, Lewis doesn't have much to worry about Vettel...he's on the dirty side and the Redbull is rubbish at starts. Rosberg will eat him up at the start.

Can McLaren put F-duct on Lewis' car for tomorrow, has anyone an idea how long does it take for these modifications? Maybe BBC experts have mentioned it

He chose f-ductless for a reason, give him the benefit of the doubt.

And his last laps were somewhat hindered by traffic plus maybe not so smooth going, similar to Vettel. Can't really say the Fduct did it.

That would be illegal, the car is in Parc Ferme.

They can't modify anything. Not even suspension settings, let alone a wing......

No modification but they can change like for like in case of damage or something they can prove is not working from a safety perspective, but they can't change settings is more accurate of a description. There are rules around the parts as well, obviously can't change like for like when it comes to transmission or something like that without a grid penalty.

No issue really. So far, qualifying F-duct 1, non - 0.

Race will be a different story. Start, aggression, race ability. The tenth difference will easily be negated.

Straight from the horse's mouth.

Lewis Hamilton had admitted that he is now lamenting the choice of not running a rear wing-stalling f-duct at Monza, with McLaren having split their strategies but Jenson Button managing second on the grid as opposed to Lewis' fifth place.

With Hamilton running a more conventional, low-downforce car setup but Button gambling on an unusual configuration, it was the latter who was able to reach the front row and just miss out on pole position to Fernando Alonso.

“I think, potentially, this has had quite a big impact on the end result and I think I'm quite disappointed with fifth place,” Hamilton explained to reports in the FIA media pen.

"The car is sliding everywhere, so I struggled quite a lot on each tyre and just didn't have the downforce...wrong choice, bit of a mistake, but we'll still be pushing hard tomorrow.”

i also expect button to take alonso at some point in the first lap.[/b]

I am not sure about that; Button is slower than Alonso (and in fact than everybody of the top 6 at least) on the straights.

Maybe so, but he has better traction and braking thanks to the extra downforce.

That's true.
I guess it would all be down to the pace with a heavy fuel load.

It should be a nice race, though :)

Yeah, looking like a real cracker with this grid

Indeed, the low downforce should really help things, reckon we'll see drivers coming alongside button in the Straights, but Button braking later than them and taking position coming out of the chicane.

Let's hope it's not Vettel coming alongside on the straights or we'll see another Spa. Vettel doesn't understand "track position"...

He'd have a job managing it considering to get at Button he'd need to make his way past Hamilton, Webber and the admittedly more minor problem of Massa
