Get lost Lewis Hamilton! What a bulllshit pole. He is just like a bad smell that won't go away. I hope he scores no points in the race and I hope Button does poorly. The day there is no more McLaren will be a fantastic moment in F1 history!

Haha I love it when you diss Lewis, means he must be doing something right :hehe: .Where did the ferraris qualify ? I don't look that far back

I take back what i just said in chat about the Red Bulls in chat, starting on the hard tyres is not so likely to work out for the because of the inevitable safety cars...

Wow I never thought about tomorrow and Red Bulls starting on hard tyres. As I think of it now, it's a superb tactical move. It's not good to gamble on safety cars but McLaren knows what they're doing

Looks like someone is really jealous that their team isn't on pole and the day that Ferrari leave Formula One, there will be no more scandal's with the FI
A!

the day Ferrari leave F1, F1 is dead and u can all say it isn't true but u all really know that it is a reality. McLaren are just an F1 team, Ferrari are F1. That is the difference and a reality. And for the time that Ferrari are not winning, then go Red Bull. As long as McLaren don't win then that is always a victory in itself.

I'm always so paranoid if something goes bad about McLaren so maybe you know, could it be a problem that Lewis did not have enough fuel in the tank. Is there any rule that you have to get to the pits after qualifying?

No rule to get to the pits driving, but there has to be some fuel left in the car for the FIA to take a sample.

No big deal, he beat the Red Bulls on the softer tire. Simply a differen strategy.
Alonso is within a very good close shot to winning the race. For the first time ever, i think this is a race that is not yet won. Lots of stuff can happen and Hamilton will have to manage his tires. Red Bull have to manage their brkes and make their tire strategy work. So, if Alonso has a good race and the car is reasonably on the pace he can definitely challenge despite not having as fast a car as Mclaren and Red Bull.

Is Alonso on hard tyres?

soft

But the Ferrari is allegedly better on its tires, so there can be something to watch out for (or consider) during the race. No doubt regardless, Mclaren are definitely in the pace. And Red Bull had a very strong showing considering it was hard tires. That they are taking gambles and strategy options means Mclaren is a real threat.

Should be an interesting race tomorrow, especially with the different strategies. If it rains overnight, Hamilton and Alonso could be in trouble in the early stages of the race. Although they were expected to do worse than they have, Red Bull have managed to put themselves in a position where they can win the race. Of course, this is all if there is no safety car or rain...

Funny, because there is forecast of rain for tomorrow... i dont see why RB decided to put the hards for the 1st stint. If its raining/wet there is no use for a long 1st stint

Because if it isn't wet, the hard tyres will last longer than the softs. If it rains overnight, the grip will be cleared away again and the soft tyres will suffer a lot more.

Hamilton.... The man who causes RedBull to loose sleep at night.. BEEEEAAAST in Qualifying!! 3 poles in a row for Canada!:cloud9:

Hope the softs hold up enough for him to get a gap on the Bulls.

How are the strategies going to work out.

The drivers on softs will most likely have to pit early. The earlier they pit, the less the field is stretched out. So, they could be behind quite a few slower cars, and have to get past. In the meantime, the front-runners on hard tyres are racing in clear air.

However, on the other hand, if LH can keep the RBs behind him, then he slows them down when the RBs should be faster. And later on, the RBs will have to have their own soft tyre woes?

Or perhaps it won't work out like that. The soft tyre is faster, but doesn't last. But, the teams starting on softs are starting on tyres which have already been thrashed in qualifying. So, part of their short life will already be used up. Have the RB drivers still got any fresh soft tyres left? If so, they could use the short time when the soft tyres to effectively jump competitors through a number of stops.

And this is ignoring the effects of bad weather and/or safety cars.

I personally think it's quite likely that the comparative worth of the strategies will not become obvious until much of the race is complete. And that we might see drivers on different strategies racing each other while being some distance apart on the track.

I would put a decent bit of money on there being more than one safety car tomorrow.
