Lewis was a bit lucky to get the pole, as Nico seemed faster all day.

I don't think he was very lucky Lewis was fastest all day apart from Q2 where he aborted his second lap because he knew he was through. Rosbreg still got to do one lap in Q3 no one was able to do 2 laps so i don't think much luck was involved. like Vettel said it's no good only being fast on your second quali lap, you need to be fast on all of them.

not looking good for rubens, he needs to somehow get ahead and pick up decent points on button, hopefully kimi will do the usual and kers button the whole race.

Was hoping lewis was lighter for a more exiciting race, but looks like he may have it in the bag. All depends on rosberg then.

We'll never know how the grid would really have looked. It's safe to say that Vettel and Heidfeld, being quite light on fuel, had the potential to improve their grid positions. Rosberg could, potentially, have beat Hamilton. That Q2 lap was something special and even though Hamilton didn't do an extra lap, I'm not sure he'd have gone faster.

Course he'd have gone faster  he'd have been ,lighter with new tyres.

Lewis wasn't lucky to get pole, but Nico was unlucky not to a get a chance. Lewis sets those times for fun, so he would have been likely to set a new P1 time. Nico's lap came out of the blue - he and the people watching were robbed of the chance to see him attempt another.

Your claim is unreasonable, you don't know that. You're just making yourself look silly ;)

I'm not sure he'd have gone faster.
unless he made a mistake i dont see what reason would stop him going faster.

Well, he wouldn't necessarily have to make a mistake to not go faster. Not taking a specific kerb, or carrying a little less speed in to a corner, doesn't count as a mistake but would potentially cost him the time necessary, which is why I said I'm not sure. Having not seen the lap onboard Nico's car, I could not say either way.

Yeah, I'd have liked to see that happen. It's a shame that Barrichello hit the wall, though at the same time it means he doesn't start behind Jenson, which is good for the championship.

Thats true but Nico said the car behave superbly on low fuel but not so when loaded for the race. been nice to have seeen his attempt tho. he seemed happy with where he was.

Its silly and unreasonable is it to assume cars improve towards the end of the session when the track is faster, the fuel lighter and new tyres are fitted. Yes silly old me

Thank you for proving that you disagree with me purely because you don't like it. Nothing I said was unreasonable, Hamilton may have gone faster, he may not.

No, it's perfectly reasonable to assume that. It's not perfectly reasonable to say that he would certainly have gone faster, there are way too many factors to consider.

It was maybe, rosberg might have simply done a better lap lewis couldn't match,

its is true it might have ended like that, but it`s common knowelege Lewis always save his best for last during quali, me personally i dont think there would have been much of a change on the grid if it had went the full distance, TBH we will never know

r.

No i cant be bothered with this hypothetical BS! the fact is you saying missing an apex or not taking a corner "fast" is not a mistake makes me think you dont know what youre talking about and this discussion over!
