I must admit, I dislike the Americans.

Youd be speaking Japanese if not for Americans

I like Americans :D

They never actualy invaded OZ tho, if the yanks had never entered WWII because lets say they only bombed Darwin rather than pearl harbour the russian and Common wealth army would of eventualy beat them back along with nazi germany.

war would of just gone on for alot lot longer.

Well my comment was a hyperthetical, they did attack Darwin and even Sydney but
im sure if the Americans did not beat the Japanese they would have had New Guinea and nothing would have stopped them from invading Australia, especially not Britain!
Britain was no where to be seen in helping us defend ourselves from the Japs. it was only the Americans who did anything and who were also helping out in Europe, compared to Britains smaller role in the pacific

Britan didn't need any help from the american's to win the Battle of Britan and i don't think Japan would of been able to invade Oz they might of been able to capture the surrounding island's much easier but main land oz - i don't thik so.

I'm not saying the American's didn't do anything in WWII they did and they problery saved alot of lives by the precence in Europe because the war would of gone on for alot lot lot longer.

But I don't think they should be seen as the saviours of the world since every nation which was part of the allies did there bit.

Well the pacific war was pretty much won all thanks to the Americans. Australia did not have the man power nor war machine to take on Japan, they did use what they had and supported the US assault very well. But if the Yanks did not defeat the Japanese and they intern took Guinea there were no stopping them from advancing further south and taking Australia. Mother England were no where to be seen in Australia's defence fair enough they had their own problems

Yeh the UK was abit old fashioned when it came to naval warfare at the time, we sent down one our newest battleships HMS Prince of Wales down to the pacfic to deter the japanse from attacking singapoor.

However no aircover was sent and it got sunk along with another ship.

We also lost an aircraft carrier because it had no aircraft on it to defend itself.

But To Invade Japan would of had to destory all of oz's Airfields with air attacks from the sea which means they would of been in range of Oz Heavy Bombers.

They would of had a massive massive problems invading i can't see it happening suprise attacks on Darwin and Sydney yeh but not a full out invasion they would of been spread too thin.

I must admit, I dislike the Americans. (Not in a racist way.) I'm sick of seeing everything American. Which could be the reason why I find Formula One easier to follow. I just don't like how America can bully other nations, and everyone else. I'm just hoping this American team won't start enforcing their own ideas into the sport, and expect everyone to follow because they are the (ex-) world power.

I guess I'm saying, I don't want Formula One "Americanised" like everything else seems to be these days. I like the how Formula One is international.

That said, the only reason why I don't like the Force India Team is because of the name. That's all. Like I'm really happy that they have Mercedez Engines this year, but I still won't support them because the name is... whatever that J-word is.

However, I am happy that we are having new teams. I want there to be more than "just" 22 cars. I want to see, like 30 cars. We also have a possibility of a new team based in Portugal. I'd really support having a team based in Portugal. But I wouldn't support it if everything about it was Portugese, like all the drivers, and the team name is something ridiculous like "PortugalF1."

I didn't like Super Aguri because their drivers were all Japanese. That changed when Davidson came along. But I'm a big fan of Sato, but I still wouldn't go for is team.

But I would hate it more if the Yanks did it. :D

Racism is not limited to just race as there are many facets to it but that is O/T anyway.

is this what youre taught in Britain to make it sound like you guys didnt need to help us out :hehe:

Did we need the Americans? Yes, it would be ignorant to say otherwise.

Did America win WW2 for Europe? No, that would be down to Britain and Russia. Because I hadn't heard of many Americans fighting in North Africa and Stalingrad.

No were taught to say that we didn't need the american's help.

:P

To be honest we did very little but as much as we could of done i mean we had Africa, Europe and then the Pacfic theater had us stretched way to thin.

We're hopelessly off topic here but I think you should "hear about" the 15,000 US casualties suffered in Africa during WWII. Perhaps the commanders names will strike a bell, Eisenhower, Patton, Mark Clark. Sure, they weren't the major presence the British were but they certainly deserve more than a casual dismissal.

OK Back to F1
