"Ok Lewis, rear left is reaching the limit of grip," he is told on the radio. "I cannot drive any slower," comes the response.
This tyre circus has got to stop...
It's pathetic. Tyres
tyres
tyres
" don't defend" " I can't go any slower" what is this???
Ohhhh blah blah blah I knew all this would crop up when Merc once again revealed their massive incompetence.
The tyres are the same for all the teams. Some teams can cope, others clearly can't. Their problem, not Pirelli's.
Yes its the same for all, crap for all. Yes some teams are better at managing the tyres, but I don't want to watch cars managing tyres, I want to watch them racing hard. And that would be my view where ever the Mercs were. I've moaned about these tyres all season and the Mercs have done reasonable until today. Hearing drivers ask if hey should defend, ask if they should attack, be told to lift round corners, report that they can't drive any slower...that's not the pinnacle of Motorsport. Today's race was boring.
Alonso did well, but how much better to have seen him battling Kimi for that win instead of running his own little tyre preservation programme.....that's said Ferrari's were about the only team who did put on some sort of attempt at pushing.
Sad to see Perez relegated to the back of the class so soon after his brave display. To be expected though.
