The best looking car is the one that gets to the checkered flag first.

It isn't. The best looking car is the one that looks the best.

The FASTEST car gets to the chequered flag first.

A waving checkered flag makes any car look good. :)

That's only something ugly cars say!

Had to rub my eyes after looking at that 2012 Ferrari. The FI is not as bad looking as the Ferrari but still not pretty. Perhaps Ferrari are trying to scare other drivers of the track by how ugly it looks to get victories that way. If i see that bump nose in my mirrors i sure would get distracted and crash head on into a wall or something. :hehe:

I agree. Which is why it's not going to be a Ferrari. :)

The bumps don't bother me all that much  Not exactly aesthetic as some have mentioned before. I have to say mclaren looks the best by far though. Smooth, sleek, slender...grrr :P

And I am extremely curious what red bull are going to come out with...can't wait!!

I think the Force India is the best looking so far actually, it's grown on me since yesterday. The nose isn't pretty but the car looks aggressive, functional and quick, which is what i like to see in modern racing cars. The McLaren looked underdeveloped (reminds me a lot of the Brawn which is now 3 years old!) but i have a hunch they have parts not on the release car, so i'll reserve judgement until then. The Ferrari has some great looking features, i love the sidepods, but the nose is so bulky and ungainly...

Speaking of FI, a vid from the shakedown:

Good vid where you can see the Ferrari from a couple more angles:

Wildly different approaches to the nose and what they're doing under it by Mclaren and Ferrari, I'm hoping they all work well in their own way and no one's fouled up, wondering what Redbull have done now.

And what's Brawn gonna pull out the bag for Merc? Still can't shake the feeling they could be the dark horse this year.

McLaren does look the best, their colour scheme in the launch studio looked great as well, sleek shiny silver.

In the look's department the Ferrari is more like its trying to be alternative, it's all very "blocky" and square, you guys are right, just like lego. Kinda nice in its own right, looking straight down from the front, looks like a battering ram, from the side though, it's hideous.

They've gone for the sharp step in order to maximise the volume of air able to get under the car, though the down-side as opposed to the gradual curve is the distortion of air flow above the car from my interpretation of news reports.

So you're saying FI engineering is ahead of McLarens? I don't see how the McLaren looks under developed seeing as its an evolution. If it had the block nose would that have helped? For one their exhaust looks pretty developed compared to the other launch cars to me.
