He didn't get kicked. It was clear he'd fulfilled his obligations to Merc - i.e. a 3 year stint for on-track development.

WoW!! I can't believe someone else shares my perspective!! :wavey:

Careful now, agreeing with me is strictly against the forum rules.

Wow, self pity looks as pathetic even in writing.

Brawn calls for caution regarding Mercedes upturn in form, despite Hamilton now being the bookies second most likely driver to take the championship after Vettel.
He says there's no guarantee they will replicate their success on the sweeping turns of Spa. The tyres are a learning curve for everyone and who gets a handle on them is a yo-yoing process. Hard work still needed.

Following on from the discussion in the Ferrari thread about Lucas's recent comments regarding the Merecedes tyre test in May, James Allen ( with technical help from others) has analysed Mercedes performance over the last few races, there are complicated graphs.......just warning you

no Mercedes thread would be complete without discussing how it's the ugliest livery on the grid.

Brawn unhappy about unreliability and feels for Rosberg because he's borne the brunt of it. Merc have had more DNF issues than the other three leading teams and Brawn wants this sorted out. The last engine failure was the first since they bought the team in 2010.....but it's one too many and Brawn wants to nail reliability.

However, they were news last year that Nico's car is capable of pushing the car towards the finish line. Yet somehow...he's just not proven it in the last few GP's.

I think Rosberg has silenced more critics than he's raised questions so far this year.........if that makes sense?

I'm still befuddled as to why all the Lewis fans have yet to turn on Nico. :hehe:

Well they didn't turn on Button instantly. Isn't it usually during the 2nd season the shenanigans start?

He's fast, he's fair and he wouldn't screw over his team mate.

Hembrey says Mercedes win was not due to tyres, they've found something, and if the performance remains consistent they will be a force to be reckoned with.

Lewis' fans like brave fighters who are unfazed by no other driver, because they have been at the limit and met a higher force. Nico fears no other driver and will drive the car as fast as he can lap after lap.

Its just that Lewis is on a different level, but in the same game. Lewis lost more points with his tyre failure than Nico lost with his 3 dnfs. Personally I want Nico to learn from Lewis the magic Senna had, it would be more fun

Nico has shown the same type of courage in his attempts to beat Lewis, the team order stuff, the reluctance to move over when on a different strategy, all on track and bravo to the lad. He actually said one time, 'I couldnt beat that time Lewis did even if I had no (problem)

Its the teammates who hold back, cruise and collect, settle for finishing without incident, sneak around off track, interact with their TPs in disturbingly worrying ways, take a fat paycheck over a good team, renege on contracts, stitch up Frank Williams, and most appallingly never ever tell the truth, instead give it the sugar coated lie 'there was something wrong with the car/my balance went missing/the wind changed direction/the car is bad'

'I am just as fast as the big boys, its just I couldnt put my foot down round that corner because the car felt dangerous' or
'I had to lift in that corner Lewis was flat out because my balance went missing between Q2 and Q3, please divert resources to work out why I wasnt brave enough'
'I am starting 12th on the grid because I am not able to put it all on the line for 1 lap, but its going to be a lot of fun from here watching the faster guys have problems'

Journeymen, paycheck playboy wannabe commedians

Not quite silver, not quite grey, not quite white. They've gone to a dulex paint chart and picked a colour somewhere in-between two colours. And their sponsors really don't help. Petronas Green is just wrong on that car.

To be fair, I think the reason some cars like McLaren could be argued to have prettier livery is simply because they dont have so many pesky SPONSORS with their funny colours. When Tooned has the most prestigious space on the car its easier to blend the team colour

That goes for Lotus as well
