I think the problem is that everyone is trying to achieve the ideals that Ron left behind. However no one knows except Ron how to achieved what he did

Ron Dennis was stronger than Whitmarsh as a leader but he was no Demi-God either. McLaren were not flurrying in trophies during his time...his mantra was always "it's easier to make a fast car reliable than a reliable car fast" and that showed in how many wins McLaren achieved under his name in the win VS WDC ratio.

But the Mclaren team is built around Ron being the boss still. I do agree that MW is appears weak from the outside, maybe he was just a yes man to Ron and now does not know how to lead.

Jean Todt at Ferrari just recreated the Benetton team. Did the Benetton team come around by chance or by Todt skill?

Buttons 'loyalty' to Whitmarsh is payback for the times he talked him up and given his excuses over the years. I'm sure he is a very nice man, Lewis always says so as well. But nice men aren't always what's needed, and they can be duped.

Nice copy-paste from that other thread, you've been caught :hehe:

I haven't copy pasted anything. That's how I feel. It's better said in this thread than the Lewis thread anyway.

My bad, I found it 'twas a post saying the same thing but worded slightly differently, chalk it up to the end of the working day

love triangle! a love triangle has one direction, so who likes who.

Jenson likes Martin, but Martin likes Sam, but Sam likes Jenson!

Lewis loved Nico too much to stay at Mclaren, that's why he moved to a team with only one win.

If you keep saying it eventually some of the forum base will take it as fact to weave into their imagined reality

We all know why the 2013 car sucks, it's because it was developed mostly by Hamilton and Lowe, both then left the team, the car was being developed with Hamilton in mind until he dropped the bombshell that he was off to pastures new. I smell a conspiracy!
