This thread is getting to the brink now. And several of you are starting to piss me off with these adolescent cheap shots and arguments that i seem to CONSTANTLY see from the same people. Get a grip! :director:

Button's car is not very Balanced this weekend so they will "unbalance" Hamiltons car by misguiding him on the setup. It's not the first time they have "equalized" the cars.

Oh you again. You're worse than racechick. She has some ability to reason, you have none. Lewis is fine, so is button, there is not conspiracy.

"Jenson is very experienced, super smart, great at using his tyres. In truth he's working and operating a team but he really wants to beat his team-mate. I think Lewis is learning as well______________________________________

You gotta admit, that last paragraph is quite...interesting.

Yeah, we know he is. And your a sausageface Martin for letting him! Ah but he is disturbingly good looking :banghead::banghead::banghead:

:rofl:A team Not THE team

He clearly means his team of engineers, but ofcourse those conspiracy theorists like yourselves will read it wrongly.

Ok, lets assume he's just leading a team of mechanics and engineers that work on his car(even though I thought it was all centralised to get the best team result) I can accept that. Why does Whitmarsh feel the need to keep talking him up. "Very experienced, super smart, great with tyres..." and then he adds on the end and Lewis is learning too, like he's an after thought?Lewis is actually leading at the moment. Why can he just make a complimentary comment about both drivers? I dont see Domenicalli putting Massa or Alonso down( and one of his drivers is really having a hard time!!). Horner doesnt feel the need to say one of his drivers is 'super smart'and the other is learning.
Why this need to create an image of Button? He's in his third year with the team now, he shouldn need to be doing this.

So if he'd said that Hamilton is learning and then talked Button up you'd be happy 'cos then Button would sound like the after thought? I mean does it matter which order he mentions his drivers in? Not one little bit! :banghead: Do you know what the leading question was before he commented on Button and Hamilton, sorry Hamilton and Button, I mean Buttilton, no dammit I mean Hamtton err....... I'M SO CONFUSED!!!! :spaz:

Surely to be gramatically correct, you'd name people in alphabetical order (that's what I was taught) so I guess Button and Hamilton's, sorry Hamilton and Button's families were in on the conspiracy to names their children in this order. Ooh the plot thickens. :hehe:

I hear what you're saying RC, though I still believe that Lewis gets all the support he needs to succeed within the team. However, there might be a reason why he's delaying his contract extension. Whitmarsh does seem to have a soft spot for Button, it's getting harder to deny.

I personally feel he might be eyeing the Mercedes seat next year. Schumacher's contract is done by end of this year I think.

:loser: Seriously, if you have nothing worthwhile to say, why say anything at all?

Agreed, on pretty much all you say.

@Andrew, of course the afterthought is nothing to do with the order in which they were mentioned  Its the content which makes one an after thought.

The content of what he says depends on the leading question. Do you know what that was 'cos I don't see any after thought? He makes a fair comment on both of his drivers.
#300527
No I dont know the question, its just Whitmarsh giving his views. Here's the link

The problem with written articles is there is usually a bit of artistic licence which often takes quotes out of context even more so; as Andrew says, when we don't know the question that was asked to provoke that answer. I'm pretty sure that with RD hovering around, JB wouldn't be allowed to run the whole team, but probably does command his own team of mechanics/engineers!

I accept the team part and yes the comments may have been put together with bits missed out, but Whitmarsh does do it a lot. I guess Ron is there because of the Bahrain connection. I do like to see him in the garage though.
On another note. Did you know the McLarens are running different wings? The new wing makes the care understeer and Lewis doesnt like it so much, so Jenson's running the new one and Lewis is running the old one.

Well, let Jenson stick with the new one then, he hasn't sped up any. :hehe:
