I've not heard the term cut up before, apart from watching Dexter! We say cut off here.

We Brits like to be different. It helps us maintain our elevated sense of self-importance..... :hehe:

Watching a YouTube clip the other day, I realized that Remault and Mercedes save some money in F1 because they use their own transport trucks. Those things aren't cheap and they have dozens of them.

Mercedes are actually transported by Eddie Stobart (a relatively famous haulage company in GB - even have their own TV series)

You can see the Stobart logo on the side of the trailer.

So I cant imagine it would save them that much - maybe if they still supplied the rigs..?

Tha's what I meant, the truck has a Mercedes or Renault logo on it, that's being paid for by someone, and it's something Ferrari or another manufacturer can no do. I mean in the grand scheme of budgets I'm sure it's a small percentage but hey, even one percent f 500 million shows up as a big sum on the balance books.

Uh, Ferrari/FIAT own Iveco that make big rigs...

It's an honest answer old fruit. I'm now seriously considering looking for a new job or rather a new employer. I'm not loving it at the moment. :banghead:

2 steps forward, 5 steps back. What should be a reasonably quick job keeps ending up being something that requires a huge amount of fannying around due to the picky awkward :censored: that inhabit many of the oil rigs in the North Sea. They're meant to be North Sea Tigers, not North Sea Pussycats! :banghead: Plus I'm increasingly doing what is a 2 person job and as a result am running myself ragged and am permanently knackered. Just ain't fun, especially when it's just above freezing point, pouring with horizontal sleet and blowing a gale and your waterproof gear is totally saturated. I could honestly walk out the gate tomorrow at 5pm and not go back on Monday and I wouldn't worry. I enjoy the work when it's manageable but I'm not a fan of the company or the client, but I'm far from being the only one with this opinion.

/rant. :irked:

Aaaaaaaaan breathe............ :hehe:

Sounds harsh. Any other sort of job you have in mind, with regards to having a change?
