Well let's see, they have equal cars, equal engines, the only term that could give Alonso an advantage is one that tells Piquet to move over. Well that never happened to come up LOL.
Each driver has a race team, and they set up the car according to the driver's input. If Piquet is complaining the car isn't right for him it's his responsibility to make it so. I guess he couldn't dso that.
If they don't get equal treatment off the track like if Flav is all nice and lovey to Fernando and ignores Piquet, that might cause Piquet to feel poorly in the stomach but if he lets that affect his performance that's his failing. Even if Fernando's conract says he gets a nice tablecloth and a pretty waitress for every meal and a bigger motorhome and a hummer before every race and that Piquet has to eat under the table and has to pee in a can behind the dumpster, it's his job not to let it affect his performance.

Well we'll have to wait and see but i'll bet it was more hampering than peeing in a can or eating under the table.

Oh please, whatever sob story Piquet comes out with, we all know it'll have been nowhere near as bad. Yes, Flavio probably gave him a hard time, but he retained his services even after last year's p**s-poor showing, so he can't have had it that rough.

They are Ninjas. Therefore it follows that you did not see them. Based on this:
I'm like a good sports reporter. I call 'em the way I see 'em, and if I don't see 'em, I make 'em up!

We can therefore assume that you made them up.

Pirates FTW.

From autosport.com:

Grosjean poised to replace Piquet

By Jonathan Noble Tuesday, August 11th 2009, 11:09 GMT

Romain Grosjean is on standby to replace Nelson Piquet at Renault for the European Grand Prix should the team overturn its exclusion from the next event on the calendar, AUTOSPORT has learned.

Renault is facing an FIA International Court of Appeal hearing in Paris on Monday against its one-race ban for allowing Fernando Alonso to return to the track at the Hungarian Grand Prix with his front right wheel not fully attached.

Until the outcome of that hearing is known, Renault is unable to confirm its plans for the next race - even though it has already informed Nelson Piquet that he will not drive for them any more.

Grosjean currently lies second in the GP2 standings behind Nico Hulkenberg.

Should Renault succeed in having the punishment reduced, perhaps to a major fine, then Grosjean is top of the list to be slotted in alongside Fernando Alonso from the European GP.

AUTOSPORT understands that Grosjean has already had a seat-fitting at Renault's Enstone factory for the R29, and has conducted practice starts during straight line testing.

Piquet's departure from Renault came after a disappointing second season for the team, where he failed to score any points up until the Hungarian GP.

After being informed that he had been dropped, Piquet launched a scathing attack on team boss Flavio Briatore - who he labelled as his "executioner" in a statement.

I'm curious, what's so great about grossjean? I wouldn't know to say they shouldn't use him, I just mean what about all the other candidates such as Senna or what about the forgotten Paffett who was neck and neck with Louise for the Mclaren seat at the beginning of 07? OR JV? don't tell me he wasn't intersted in it!

Grosjean looked quite a good prospect in GP2 last year. He won the Asia series and finished fourth in the main series. This year he doesn't look as impressive, although he is running second behind Hulkenberg.

Grosjean looked amazing in the Asia series especially in the wet but i don't think he's got on top of race setup yet. Hulkenberg had a year in A1GP which is very setup sensitive so i think that's why he's doing so well in GP2 this year. Paffet only lost out to Lewis for the 2007 McLaren drive because Michelin pulled out. Lewis was poor on the Michelins in testing.

Really, now?

I'd love to see Paffet get in to Formula One, I think he's very talented. :)
