I think people need to calm down and think for a few minutes about this entire ordeal.

Although some of you appear to be over the moon about this, just remember the circumstances behind Schumacher's return.

Felipe Massa could have died, and it is not known how long the poor fella will need to recover.

In saying that this is a mega coup for Formula One and the European Grand Prix. I wouldn't be surprised if Bernie had something to do with it. He always does!

You think Schui will beat Kimi?

Seriously?

I think he could. Schumacher could buy in a few crates of Raikkonen's favourite alcoholic beverage, ostensibly as a present. With Raikkonen's inability to resist temptation, Schumacher would easily win.

I look forward to valencia now, crap race circuit, but if Schumi's there its going to be an exciting weekend for sure

Indeed, what had the potential to be the most boring race in history now looks rather interesting.

Imagine if he won, though. I mean it's feasible, the F60 was fast in Monaco and Hungary and I reckon that Schumacher, even without any experience of it, could probably extract a lot from the car. That would be great for the sport in a year where politics has, once again, dominated.

Also, I just realised. We would be seeing two old adversaries (Schumacher and Räikkonen) driving for the same team! :o

Kimi drinks alcohol like Water so I doubt he'd be hampered in anyway. The increased alcohol in his blood would probably act like a sort of energy drink for him.

In all seriousness though, Raikkonen has to beat Schumacher to maintain any credibility. If he cannot convincingly beat a man who has not stepped foot into a Formula One car for over a year, and is still recovering from a neck injury, then Ferrari seriously have to question Raikkonen's usefulness.

Schumacher is better than Alonso, he can get the most out of any Car. So to be honest i think he will be the man to beat this Race :cloud9:

In his prime most possibily. Now, I seriously doubt it.

I wish Alonso was in a better car. I want to see Schumacher, Hamilton and Alonso racing each other :hehe:

I would love that too. However Alonso might not even be on the grid in Valencia. That is a more pressing issue in my opinion.

As much as I love Mika, I wouldn't say he was better. Schumacher was far more complete than Hakkinen.

I kind of agree. For instance, Hakkinen was no doubt faster over a single lap, but Schumacher's race pace was better consistently. Both were fantastic drivers, though.

Yes, I would also say Hakkinen was more "human" in his approach to racing, especially due to his experiences. Schumacher on the other hand was so precise and clinical. Both amazing racers, a battle that ended too prematurely for my liking.

I saw the video of him knocking the little girl over and not even apologising :(

You love Kimi really

Shat up!!

7 Titles!!!!!!

no one else, has Mika got the balls to come back? No!!!!

Schumacher is back baby and i cannot wait!!!!!!

7 titles in 15 seasons is 46.7%, not as good as Fangio's 5 titles in 8 seasons - 62.5%

In fact if you express virtually any statistic on a percentage basis, Fangio comes out best.

And there's probably one or two old timers who's say Schumacher isn't worthy to wipe the crushed flies off of Tazio Nuvolari's windshield, but for the time being, shall we just say that Schumacher's pretty bloody good?

Time Gentlemen please. You cannot define who is the greatest of all time, more who is the greatest of their era.

Undoubtably Schumacher will be a massive draw in many respect. Maybe here lies the medicine which will cure the sickness of Formula One - as Lauda said.

Whether or not this gamble works for both Schumacher and Ferrari is another thing.

How much do you expect Ferrari to be paying Schumacher for this?

One final thought, surely Massa is now very much the Didier Pironi of 1982. Surely Ferrari will keep a seat for him alongside Alonso when the time comes?

This is why Tex is my Forumula 1 brother :P
Yeah you got that right Tex, 3 weeks until he wins again. You know what i will find the funniest? If he does. Everyone will just shush until monday, then they will say next race, you watch :P

he isn't the King for nothing you know folks ;)

I think Mark Webber would disagree with you there...

Guess Kimi will be contesting the WRC full-time next year, then. :hehe:

Schumi has nothing to lose and everything to gain

That is actually true. If he gets beaten by any of the young hot-shots, he can fall back on the lack of experience with this year's cars, the fact that he hasn't raced in Formula One since 2006 and the fact that he has never raced on this circuit before. On the other hand, if he wins, it's all down to greatness. Being a 7-time world champion has a lot of advantages, it seems.

haha that video why kimi knocks that little girl over and the one whe he falls of his boat drunk is the reason we all love him :D:thumbup:

hes a cheat and yet annoyingly good.

I guess you and Schumi have something in common, being annoying?

haha ouch thats gotta hurt coming from a mod :P

Wow this is pretty cool! I was never a fan of Schumacher, but I'm actually excited to see him race for a little bit. I wish they gave the ride to Badoer, so that he could finally score his first points.
