I must admit, I dislike the Americans. (Not in a racist way.) I'm sick of seeing everything American. Which could be the reason why I find Formula One easier to follow. I just don't like how America can bully other nations, and everyone else. I'm just hoping this American team won't start enforcing their own ideas into the sport, and expect everyone to follow because they are the (ex-) world power.
I guess I'm saying, I don't want Formula One "Americanised" like everything else seems to be these days. I like the how Formula One is international.
That said, the only reason why I don't like the Force India Team is because of the name. That's all. Like I'm really happy that they have Mercedez Engines this year, but I still won't support them because the name is... whatever that J-word is.
However, I am happy that we are having new teams. I want there to be more than "just" 22 cars. I want to see, like 30 cars. We also have a possibility of a new team based in Portugal. I'd really support having a team based in Portugal. But I wouldn't support it if everything about it was Portugese, like all the drivers, and the team name is something ridiculous like "PortugalF1."
I didn't like Super Aguri because their drivers were all Japanese. That changed when Davidson came along. But I'm a big fan of Sato, but I still wouldn't go for is team.
But I would hate it more if the Yanks did it.
sorry, the more i read about it, the more it turms my stomach.
I hope its a massive flop and they never make the grid...go A1 racing if they want that jingoistic nonsence...it has no place in Formula one.
You know, you're certainly entitled to that opinion but other than that entitlement, this statement is quite wide of the markon many levels (IMHO of course). Any true F1 fan should really be applauding the fact that someone's trying to get another team into the sport because the F1 grid has begun to look as small and shrunken as the recently deceased ChampCar grids (or BE himself) had become. Honda just left and they're not coming back. Odds are even that Toyota might leave soon as well. Will Renault be far behind? F1 needs as any serious entries as it can get and these guys seem serious.
Besides, why is Force India OK but USF1 is jingoistic? Would it be all OK if it was Windsor/Anderson racing? Or do you have something against Americans? Just wondering?
