ONE MORE LAP AND KIMI WOULD'VE MURDERED HIM :bs:

Lotus' own fault for keeping Kimi out for so long. But it's the strategy...those options have a certain life to them and maybe he was about lose pace at the end you never know. Look at what happened to Button, he lost 4 seconds to Hamilton in 2 laps.

Yeah I facepalmed when they pitted Kimi. I had a feeling that Kimi would've won if they kept him out, but nope, LOTUS ARE WORKING IN CAHOOTS WITH RED BULL :hehe:

Alonso also lost like 2 seconds to Romain.

Highlight of the race for me was Lewis VS Alonso. Top driving as usual when both these guys are involved.

Thought all of the top 4 drove very well. Vettel just about controlled the whole race, Kimi and Grosjean gave everything and Alonso managed to keep pace in a clearly slower car than the first 3.

A bit annoyed at the SC rules to be honest, for 2 reasons:

1) It unneccessarily added 2-3 laps onto the SC, laps where the cars should be racing.

2) It basically gave Webber a lap and a half on some of the drivers he beat. If I was Perez or anyone behind him i'd be annoyed as realistically from P19 all he would have caught wouldve been Caterham and Chilton. Not Webbers fault he was given the lap back nor was it his fault his mechanics messed up his stop but I just dont think its fair on the other drivers, especially ones who lost points because of it.

Also - hope the cameraman makes a speedy recovery, horrible incident.

Given the fact Alonso stopped as soon as he crossed the line, I'd suspect that the time loss was more to do with running out of fuel than excess tyre wear

My best guess is a reprimand....this sh*t happens all the time, Redbull were unlucky the tyre decided to take a stroll.

More importantly, what about the Marussia? Who's fault was that.....the driver or the marshall? Freakin ridiculous thing to happen, if it was bad timing it would've been a disaster.

Overall a good race, but the ring is really tough to pass in and we saw time and time again how easy it was for slower cars to keep the faster cars behind. A well earned win for Vettel, he had to really work for this one so congratulation to him. In the end, we're back to tire strategy and tire preservation running the show.

It's no coincidence that we see Mercedes taking a big hit, but also FI taking a big step back, with the Saubers making a step forward and even the Williams benefiting a bit. Also, McLaren's got to be happy taking a step in the right direction but I think anything going forward for them will have a def tone to it as they'll be viewing breaking into a top five result as the best they could hope for.

Weird decision by Ferrari I think too, their tyre wear is good, why not just qualify as high as possible? It clearly shows they aren't going for the win, I mean, they'll be too far back being held up at the start.

Make no mistake about it, Ferrari are going for a win, and, it's also clear they are thinking both cars on the podium.

Sure :P

^^About Alonso's stop. It would be obscene if it was since the added SC laps... So I'm not sure it was fuel, he would have run out of fuel by lap 55 otherwise. That would have been a BIG screw up.

I'm really curious what it was - if it was fuel, he'll lose his points, won't he?

No. He probably had the 1 litre sample in the car and he doesnt have to return to the pits after the race.

Force India have been fined 5,000 euros for the unsafe release at Di Resta's stop. No news on Red Bull but as it was more serious i'm guessing a heavier fine - doubt they'll lose points or be banned!
