It's only Vettel that has the choice of two, Webbers stuck with the new one even if the old layout is faster.

i got the impression the idea is to run one car on each exhaust to compare the data. They did specify friday, and said nothing about the race. I imagine they'll have both drivers on whichever layout they think is best by saturday morning.

In the story I posted from ESPN in the sub heading under the photo it stated Vettel will only have the option on what exhaust works best.

 Daniel Ricciardo speaking to his engineer."Going into turn one we still have the power steering issue".Race engineers reply "I can fix it but it's going to take three months" made me chuckle anyway.

Button seems to be having setup issues...hopefully at least one of the RBs outqualifies him and we can still have a fight for victory.

Like last year, we have some closer times here... It's funny that Vettel drives better on the old spec, while Webber likes the new one more... :hehe: Sauber will be strong again. Lotus is having some problems, we'll see... Mercedes is really using that speed and DRS. It's going to be tight.

Well wont he just copy Lewis' set up? That seems to be working.

Whitmarsh says they will change it before qualifying. Why stress the new box for no reason?

I'm saying they speculated they'd need to change it after getting it from freight and checking in the garage at China, it's done two P sessions albeit not that many laps, perhaps they have reevaluated its longevity?

No, I saw an interview where Whitmarsh said they'd use it for practice but it will almost surely be changed before qualifying.

If it breaks down during practice, it won't be much bother...at least this way their new box has done less mileage after the race weekend is over.
