Alonso usually comes top of the polls from current f1 drivers, team bosses, and journalists.

It's just the channeling of mass media talk where everyone goes along with the popular vote...so according to stats and records sold you're saying Justin Bieber's music is great? :hehe:

Apart from these polls being done anonymously, why would people who deal with F1 day in day out listen to mass media talk? They have more information than the mass media. Anyway, does Beiber regularly get called the best from fellow musicians, music critics and music producers? False analogy.

No one actually has poles and votes on who's the 'best musician/pop singer/artists', the grading concept is looking at records sold/platinums/etc. And Bieber leads...because his fans have spoken. His fans speak, thanks to media channeling. Why wouldn't people in F1 listen to mass media talk? It's all around them, even more than it is for us!

Hammer brought him up :whip: I was talking about Alonso, perfectly appropriate.

Yes, but those grading concepts are down to how many his fans buy, I don't know a lot about music - I prefer to let Nintendo set my soundtrack - but best ever is down to general feeling and opinion polls isn't it?

At anyrate, that is different to the votes from F1, why would they bother to listen to the mass media talk? It's a lower level of useful information to them, they vote on these polls anonymously, they have access to loads more information than those who go by the mass media do.

If anything, mass media in f1, rates Schumacher as the best, since the statistics on WDC are the ones best known generally, or by current best, maybe the reigning WDC, or the current leader.

Yea but you guys can say Lew is your favourite, but not the best. Thats totally cool.

Kimi in Ferrari would be my favourite, but i still wouldnt say he's the best. Awesome, but not the best.

Vettel could be the best... but he's not my favourite.

And it goes on. Lewis is very good, but not the best, yet. He can still prove it though.

As for Justin bieber... what can i say. Millions have spoken.

When I first heard him on the radio, I honestly thought it was a lass. Turns out it were some rich kid with emo hair who's nadgers are yet to make their presence known. :hehe:
