The previous post got me thinking? Allot of F1 fans support the wrong teams? My family constantly tell me why Ferrari and not McLaren they are British? Yet as they say you can't help who you fall in love with. Yet If it came down to Alonso or Button? I would have to go for Button.

What about you?

For the likes of Bud who is from Australia? But Likes McLaren? Hamilton or Webber?

I'm confused are you supporting Ferrari or Mclaren this year?

For me its Team, although i do like to see the British driver do well.

I was cheering for Hill in '96.

So Mclarens' current lineup suits me.

Noo LMAO, I'm red blooded with a Prancing Horse in my heart but what I'm saying is that even though I am a Ferrari fan? If it came down to Fernando (spannish) or Jenson Button (British) I would go for Jenson.

There is.......................a third option...........

I think many people supporting Jenson because he's Brit won't support Lewis for the same reason. :hehe:

yeah Lewis, totally blown as to what you mean though........Its suprising how many British fans dont like Lewis though. I can count Scotty, MOA, JensonB off the top of my head, that ive heard nothing but detrimental words about Lewis, not that theres ANYTHING wrong with it at all, most stuff i say on drivers i dont support isnt complimentary naturally, but youd think if your really good at something, as the UK is at motorsport youd cherish it,

Case in question, England is utter poo at football and the players are moralless w*nkers, and yet the nation unreservedly supports them.

We got two WDC's and the best nation at motorracing, but people dont support either of them, especially Lewis, cause his "personality doesnt appeal to me"....dunno what the shizz thats all about. Its like Brazilians liking Italy better then themselves at football, or New Zealanders liking SouthAfrican rugby over their own. I think a lot of people are a bit snobby and like to act different to the mainstream in order to deflect any incoming bandwagon remarks.

Maybe I'll understand more about the emotions when there's an American drivers and or an American team. In the mean time, I'm content to be displaced in this conversation. I'm enjoying the ride.

One day Scott Speed will return racing for USF1 and we shall all rejoice.

As cool as his name is for racing I'm not sure of the American name we'll see as the next F1 driver. I think it would be more foundational to put a team together first. it's not as if we've got a lack of potential global sponsors.

Let's see..

Facebook, Microsoft, AT&T, FedEx, UPS, Coca-Cola, McDonals, Google, YouTube, Disney, Apple, Motorola, your choice of gasoline providers... that's just off the top of my head. with a Ford Cosworth engine running on Good Year rubber when they allow multiple tire vendors back on the grid.

Here's a list of the Fortune top 100 companies with their annual revenue listed first and their annual profit (in millions) listed second . Recognize any as American companies? It's embarrassing that we can't scrape enough money together from that list to sponsor an F1 team. Sheesh! :banghead:

The third option you're referring to is? Lewis?

I think many people supporting Jenson because he's Brit won't support Lewis for the same reason. :hehe:

I have met Jenson and he's down to earth, cool? He has a style about him that makes me like him. He's not an idiot? He's straight down to earth and gets the job done. I have always liked him and to be honest I have not really took to many drivers in F1. I think Ferrari have good drivers but are not to my personal taste....Alonso is pure brilliant | PROFESSIONALLY| but personally a tit?

Lewis is just a show man to me, People will disagree but, he has had it easier than JB? Lewis waited a few races for his win, JB waited years? Lewis waited a year for his WDC JB waited Year[*S*] To me JB has worked his way up.

True, and its something that will always be held against Lewis, but seriously, how can you decide, or even factor it into your reasoning that Mclaren decided to sponsor someone at 13 years old, how on earth should that be classed as Lewis' fault.

What on earth is a show man?

I support both drivers and the team,so obviously mclaren,(lewis and jenson),but i hope paul di resta does well this year and i like mark webber because hes funny! :hehe:

Ok what if it was Massa and Jenson?

Or Nando and Lewis?

Matter of perspective. I could easily come with "He's just that good, that Ron Dennis saw the worth in investing time and money in him since young"

Or I could come up with "How is any of this Lewis' fault?"

A multi billionnaire takes a liking to you and is ready to support you to achieve your dreams...what do you say "No thanks, I want to suffer more and waste more years in my life before I achieve my dream?" ....think about it for 1 second.

Hey! What is this, January 2009? I don't trash talk Lewis! I consistently rank him one of the top three drivers on the grid, and I've time and again said between Jenson and Lewis McLaren have the best of both worlds in the driver spectrum.
