CLEAN AND JERK!!??:yikes: Not what you expect to be asked to do at the gym. I was asked to do it this morning in my circuit class. I thought maybe i'd wandered into the wrong class by mistake. Cast furtive look around class, no one else seemed worried. Cast further furtive look around, hmmm girls outnumber guys by about three to one, this would be interesting, Ah well just go with the flow....so to speak. Well it wasnt what i thought. It was lifting up a pole with weights on each end. Still required strong writst though Ah the tricks minds play when you're half awake at the gym.

Spinning class is equally obtuse (though not as sexy), spinning? You're sitting on a bike cycling away, not making new clothes with medieval instruments.

Cleaning requires finesse and technique while jerking needs pure power. Jerking is a bit harder for the person performing it as a a lot of stamina is required!! All in all a person is usually exhausted after a clean jerk !!

Sorry Racechick us guys get carried away. So how did you feel the next day were you sore from head to toe?

Bit achey, not too bad. But if you dont ache you dont feel like you've done any good. No cleaning and jerking this morning. Today it was squat thrusts
