No we don't, the number 2's of one team should still be racing the number ones of other teams.

why should they?? dont tell me for the good of the team. or for the good of #1s

It also makes for a good movie script

I just dont see this rule being applied and carried out properly! will see how it pans out

Movie script? What you on about?

The rule's been scrapped, I haven't seen any evidence they've rewritten the bringing the sport into disrepute that's always been there and is a different issue to team orders

So you don't want to know the answer? You think the number twos, when they have a number one from another team behind them are going to pull over and let them through?

It's been a while since someone last brought that up, that's an overrated film anyway :hehe:

I have not even seen it but I heard it just keeps skipping thus repeating the same old scene over and over and over etc etc....

You dont get it! When you take a proffesional competitive athlete and tell him that he cant be competitive the end result is (2010 Massa)

My point is how many (2010 massas) will there be on the grid? UNMOTIVATED racing drivers!!!

Just because ferrari uses them and its fans are fine with them, not all of us have to be! We all saw Lewis whoop Jenson but I'm not ok with him being a #2! Webber as well!

I want to see every driver entering a RACE WEEKEND knowing that they could possibly come out VICTORIOUS (NOT ONLY HALF OF THEM)

:clap::clap: Its racing not choreographed car dancing. hey now theres a sport! Alonso should try that.
I think its stupid not letting drivers race in a car race

Finally common sense. An obvious, and long overdue decisions.

Teams can now actually be "teams". Just like every other sport, including motor sports.

Didn't Jenson go on the record last year saying that if they scrapped the team orders rule he wouldn't stay in F1?

I'm pretty sure if he did we would still be discussing it and I find it rather hard to believe he would say such a thing but I have been wrong once or twice before so who knows, link link link :D .

"Jenson Button has reiterated his threat to walk away from Formula One should team orders again play a part in the sport as he has no desire to become a puppet."

I think the way they have left the 'bringing the sport into disrepute' bit in is to stop the blatant passes on track, but contradictorily, and somewhat amusingly, i predict teams are still going to be using coded orders to avoid themselves being classed as bringing the sport into disrepute!!!

Its obvious there was nothing to do with the rule, except keep what the FIA and many fans do NOT want. So, the teams can go on defending the team's interests, but they better do it in a way that it doesnt publically smacks everyone in the face. Not bad....
