Its not nice to be mugged but I thought this thing was limited to places like Mexico City and Sao Paulo

It's better reading this than being blind.

I would give a healthy 50% probability or even more, that it hasn`t been a coincidence. It could have perfectly been a warning. If I want to steal somebody I wouldn’t have chosen a globally known personage. Thieves use to be discrete or at least that is what people usually say and moreover why they made it by severely beating an 80 years old man. He could have died.
Other interesting thing is that the facts took place just after the Formula 1 season ending.
Well, I know that most of you think that things always happen just because they happen and if you think about other kind of motivations you are a conspirator theorist and you are INSANE, but are you absolutely sure of that?

I'd give odds The perp didn't know who he was or what value his or his companion's personal effects were worth. They just looked rich. A couple hundred quid's worth would have satisfied him. The real question is why you didn't just type your ridiculous theory in the thread that already exists about the subject, instead of violating your TOS and starting a new thread about it, and in the wrong section no less?

Don´t talk to me that way, I don’t like to start again with insults and bad answers. What I’m talking about is just a possibility, nothing else. I don’t understand how you can be so sure about what actually happened. May be you have some information I have not.
I’ve read at least two different explanations:
1.- It happened at his office, FOUR men were waiting for him and robbed 200.000 pounds in jewelry.
2.- It happened when they were arriving at home and they only took their watches.
I don´t understand how a famous and powerful billionaire like him don’t have at least a BODYGUARD.
Well, it possibly happened as you say, why not. But I don´t find so ridiculous to explore other options. This is a forum, not a newspaper, and I’m just talking.
I don't know what is my TOS

I don't care either way :P

I can understand that you don’t care either way, but there is something that I consider important. Nowadays, it always exits an official truth and a correct way of thinking and everyone that put those things into question is considered insane, crazy or something worst. People are even afraid about thinking or saying something “inconvenient”.
For example, when Galileo said that the earth was a sphere that was spinning and moving at full speed everybody said that he was crazy. That’s normal; it’s obvious that the earth is flat and doesn’t move at all ¿What about the water if it was a sphere? That man was absolutely ridiculous. I can perfectly understand that, but the following step was that they wanted to kill him if he didn’t stop saying such stupid things.
Unnecessary to say that I’m not trying to compare myself with Galileo, but I admire him because he was able to put into question something absolutely evident just because he had an open mind and he took his time looking around and considering other options.
Most people think that things are black or white, people, or even entire countries, are bad or good and when some other says that there are other colors or options; they attack him saying that he’s a stupid and ridiculous troll. I believe that most probably the trolls are them.
I´ve heard that at the Universe there is much more dark material than brilliant one. I think that here it’s the same. There is a lot of people and things happening behind the scene and I consider much more interesting and healthy to take it into account than just believe in what people say without asking you any question, and Formula 1 is not an exception.
Apart from that, I’m just talking. I’m not going to discover anything, but talking is much funnier if you can guess and imagine with a little bit of freedom. That’s all.

Hey there's an edit function which you can use rather than making multiple consecutive posts, ok? :wavey:

Gallio (sp) tended to scientifically test his ideas.

What are you suggesting anyway, that Bernie's bodyguard was compliant in his robbery? Or Bernie was himself hence no bodyguard?

On your kinda philosophical arguments, I think the reverse is needed more, "the simplest solution is often the likeliest".
