It's interesting that, so far, Ferrari fans accept this and make light of it. Contrast that to the reaction of the McLaren fans and Alonso's waving his hands a couple of times at Petrov. Perhaps Fernando should have stopped his car and thrown some equipment around and then yelled expletives at the crowd. :whip:

Acceptance means moving on. This comment shows little of that.

Imagine if Alonso had said it.

We would expect things like:
"He is such a bad sportsman"
"Cant take criticism"

The worst is too see people defending Lewis for saying that. There are kids on twitter as well. We dont need them running around telling adults to "F*ck off"

Also, he sounds like a 14 year old. Nothing like a multimillionaire driving for one of the most sophisticated and professional teams.

I bet daddy Whitmarsh had a word with him after that :hehe:

Do multimillionaires have to sound a certain way?

Also if young children are being allowed to roam usupervisd across the net, then sadly far worse dangers await them than Lewis Hamilton saying 'feck'

I agree with you on this. There is so much bias towards Alonso. There is no doubt that if Alonso had tweeted the same, this thread would be at 10 pages by now and everyone would have voiced their anger at him.

But that's life at the top. It's tough for people like a double world champion

I don't see a problem with that tweet. Why should he give a **** about the haters? Why should any public figure? Why should they be held to a higher standard of decorum than us?

You're an idiot if you think the two are even remotely related! You started this thread on purpose to take heat away from Alonso in the silly season thread! The point you're trying to make is they're human, Lewis swearing on twitter makes him no different to any other 25 year old and you're right, who doesn't swear? Big bloody deal he told his haters he doesn't give a f*** and why should he? It still does not compare to being a bad sport like Alonso and anyone looking for bias is you! If he wasn't a Ferrari driver and did that then I'm 100% sure your view would be different, after all Forza Ferrari right? No matter how they behave!

Wow... what a non-issue... he used the f word and people are upset? Getting his car impounded for driving like an A*hole in Australia and getting banned from driving in France for speeding is a much bigger deal.

It's amazing how some people miss the point. It is not about what Hamilton tweeted or the use of the F-word. It's about the reaction he gets from some people on this forum.

If for one moment you believe that if it were Alonso saying what Hamilton said and that you think that he wouldn't be demonized by the same people who say it's not a big deal because it's Hamilton, then :banghead:

That's the point that is being conveyed in this thread but it seems to escape some

Are you kidding??! Maybe because I'm American but I would not "demonize" ANYONE for using the F word!! Don’t these guys ever cuss in their interviews? I guess here in America we got over that whole role model expectation of athletes about 15 years ago.

When we have this going on in profesional sports its really, really hard to care about a text of the F word...

It escapes some, but not all. And to be fair, its not really that many, it's just that some are so very vocal. Basically, you will note that the driver they support could set off a nuclear-bomb in a orphanage and they'd find some reason that would be ok, but if a driver they hate breathes in public they will jump on it as the most heinous crime of the century.

I've said it before - haters will always find a reason to hate.

What a load of s*** fact man, and Spanky, don't beat around the bush like mice be upfront and say names!! Obvious who youre accusing! And you both are just as bad in regards to Hamilton, quick to pounce on anything he does so pot calling the kettle black hey!!
But seriously I wouldn't care if Alonso tweeted a swear word I don't really care what any driver does away from the track! But the way they behave on track is where it matters, this is a sporting forum not E daily online!

But listen to yourself Spanky talking about other fans finding reasons of justification for their drivers setting off an a bomb lol when it's you finding reasons of justification why Alonso being a bad sport is ok... Might have to nick name you kettle pot! why can't you just say Alonso was wrong and shouldn't have acted so poorly?
