Ferrari has told Felipe Massa to do his bit in the final four races of the season to help Fernando Alonso capture the world championship title.

Edited for accuracy :)

This is the least surprising news ever; Massa has effectively been #2 since Germany, this had just come to light now, so four more $100,000 fines to come then ;)

Bit optimistic assuming Massa will be in front of Alonso (directly) in every track.

I meant in relation to being a support driver, not necessarily being ahead of Alonso!

Oh ok, just not sure how that will earn them 100k fines? Of course we're back to the wording of the rule being so hard to define again.

I agree, WDC or WCC > $400,000

$400,000 is a small price to pay for them to win a title

Can you confirm you understood that message? LOL JK

I was being sarcastic; given that the FIA has effectively indicated that $100,000 is the price of using team orders!

Man...F**k Ferrari, seriously. What makes them think this kind of thing is cool? It's like they're going out of their way to come across as arrogant d**ks

It's from Luca, he plays the bad cop (Stefano good) whose ruthless to get results.

He tends to be quite, outspoken, earlier on in the season I didn't think it was working, but recently his words do seem to have an effect.

Massa 'urged', so what was the team radio thing then? And what does this recent urging consist of?

He's urged to win the title. Or help the teammate win it (and obvioulsy the WCC as well). You either do one or the other, or else...
Lots of drivers willing to do either for Ferrari.

And well done for Ferrari! I'm surprised Luca was not like this the last 2 seasons when Ferrari lost out. First off, Massa's championship because of team and driver inconsistencies, then Kimi's because him and the team simply were not able to work around the issues.

"Those who race for Ferrari don't race for themselves, but for the Ferrari team colours. One who wants to race for himself will have to face his team."

To the Ferrari team colours it did not matter who won that race. Alonso or Massa. I would also be a bit annoyed by the Alonso is more a part of the team statement if I was Massa

Imagine that, a guy in a ferrari being a arrogant d**k... JK
