Any team whose name is not Ferrari or McLaren that comes from as far back as they were not long ago to where they are now....has my support. Am I going to put some kind of team member sticker in my signature or apply for a screen name change to show my support....nope. But, after the black years of Red car dominance....I am happy to see any team win that hasn't been champion for years running.

Yes, Red Bull has made a lot of mistakes this year. In my mind though, they have been more guilty of rookie press control and spin than any sort of real dastardly deeds. The teams who have been here longer are much better at putting a real humdinger of a spin on their misdeeds to keep their fans happy..whereas Red Bull seems to take a bad situation and make it worse more often than not. Their press team will learn, as their mechanics and drivers are learning....and then they will be as adept at lying and controlling the press as the big dogs in McLaren/Ferrari (though Ferrari have really bungled some of that as of late). Until then, Red Bull's car has to speak for itself...and it has...with a big dog bark. More power to 'em says I.

Mark yes. Red Bull, Vettel NO!(For reasons mentioned previously by others)

Jaguar actually I supported, before they were sold to Red Bull. So in that case, yes, I do support Red Bull. I also supported Toyota to a degree. And am quite peeved that their bullet of a car did not see the race track this year!!

It does also help that Webber is an Aussie.

I do. :wavey:

And contrary to popular belief, I am not glory hunter. I started supporting them when I started supporting Vettel. I noticed him after that race in Monaco I keep raving on about. And I always thought Vettel was amazing because he was always in the points. What confirmed it for me though, was his win at Monza. :cloud9:

When he teamed up with the driver from my country, it was a dream. So I had to support them. I had no idea they would win their first race that year, and come so close to winning the championship.

Red Bull is the first team I've supported. Before that I used to be known as hammy08 on this site, when I was a Hamilton fan, but I did not support McLaren.

I think it's silly to say that anybody who supports Red Bull is a glory hunter - they were a team that had potential but only very infrequently realised any of that potential between 2005 and 2008 for 4 seasons. It's less than 2 years since they started putting in any dominant performances, so the only glory hunters would be those that started supporting them in the last 2 seasons - stupid to try to argue otherwise!

I liked them from 2005 - 2009, and I'd include 2009 in that as they still seemed a bit like the underdog that was now succeeding. My opinion of them has drastically changed over the past 4 months or so when it's become so obviously apparent that they are hugely favouring Vettel over Webber, and you'd have to be blind not to see or admit it.

Now I'd make clear that I don't have a problem with a team adopting a clear first and second driver strategy, as far as I'm concerned from a team perspective I can understand why they would do it (although I also think that it damages the credibility of the lead driver if comparing with other top drivers). What I do have a problem with is when a team that clearly does adopt this policy (inarguably), and not only patronises the viewers and supporters by denying it, but worse still tries to deny it to the driver they are firmly putting in the shade (Webber), effectively breaching his contract!

It's disgusting behaviour and the reason that not only do I now not support them, but actively hope that every car on the grid beats them.

So to conclude - I like Webber and want him personally to succeed, and would love it if he won the WDC this season to rub their noses in it before telling the team where to shove their contract, and equally hope that Vettel fails and Red Bull do NOT win the WCC.

I SUPPORT RED BULL.

The reason i started is because i like their drink and their general attitude to motor sport.

Now what really frustrates me is people who say that they are giving driver preference to Vettel. To these people i would really like to tell to stop being bias and possibly even racist. I say racist because they have no reasonable proof that favouriteism is taking place at RedBull.

So to those who think RedBull is showing favoritism please list out your proof and i will tell you why you are quite clearly wrong.

PS. To the poster who said that they dont have any racing heritage or history i would like to inform them that corporations are the future of F1. With independent manufacturers thinning as they are bought over there will soon be very little manufacturers left to make teams.

And also how can you expect every team to have a history and a legacy?

I personally think they are treating their drivers quite fairly, although I have always thought that Vettel is Red Bull's pupil. Also he has a future at RBR, Webber said this week that he doesn't know what he will do in 2012.
But in my view that are much clearer cases of favoritism -- Ferrari, of course :P

But I think you can get ahead by stating your view about the reaction of the RBR team after the Turkey crash and what happened at Silverstone. Surely they will tell you in those istances RBR showed favouritism for Vettel. :D

Thanks Immortal Dragon. Ill get right to it.

So after the crash in Turkey the team did blame Mark Webber as it seemed that he had made it unreasonably difficult for Vettel to pass, but soon after they realized that it was a pure racing accident as Vettel thought he was ahead of Webber and tried to move back onto the racing line only to realize that he hadnt passed webber and that he was still there. Unfortunately it was a bit late by then.

Been following F1 for years and I have never drunk a can of Red Bull. I hope the team takes out both championships.

The same can be said about Hamilton in Mclaren (as Vettel being Red Bull's pupil).
But people seem to see and criticise, in typical hypocritical fashion, only what they want to see when its convenient.

F1ea...

You seem to be going around different threads saying Lewis is the loved child of this forum and he is actually favoured by McLaren even now. Is this what you're hinting at?

Do you really think McLaren are giving him more effort than they are giving Jenson now?

If they were Jenson would walk, he's said so.

And back to Red Bull it isnt the fact that Vettel is a Red Bull protege that annoys people, its the favouritism he is now receiving. Fine to have a young drivers scheme, but when they get to F1 they should manage without favours. Its Red Bull that is showing favouritism so no need to digress to other teams who arent doing so.
