That's great but I don't believe he is the most complete driver on the grid

If he was, he would have earned his victory the REAL way by actually competing with Massa. Instead he whined to his team and took the easy way out. If he was so much faster than Massa why didn't he pass him? I'm pretty sure Ferrari knows he would have never got by Felipe Massa. What a shame.
People forget Hamilton out drove and outclassed Alonso in his ROOKIE season

This isn't the first time Ferrari has done this...I don't even want to bring up the Schumacher days. I'm surprised Barrichello never told Ferrari to F off!

Alonso was a lot faster than Massa and Ferrari did the right thing FFS... Do you think it would have been smarter to let your drivers get into a stupid struggle for the 1st position when there's the posibility of both crashing out of the race because of a stupid mistake? not really, now we would be talking about how retard Ferrari's strategy was, Alonso an Massa would have been virtually out of the picture and oh, wait no points for the team... BRILLIANT!
It's also amazing to see some of you gettig shocked with Ferrari favouring one driver over the other... have you been following F1 for a long time?
And, no, I don't buy the whole Massa being an angel s..t.

Massa should have held that 1st trophy today. I as a Mclaren fan felt nothing but despair as to what developed, and nothing but sadness that Felipe was robbed of what should have been rightfully his.
We say in England 'What goes around, comes around' My respect for Felipe and Rob Smedley has shot up 10 fold, my contempt for Cry baby Alonso and Stefano has gone lower than the gutter. Shame on Ferrari, I hope the powers that be take back Alonso's points

Obviously, you're from Spain, so you root for your guy.

The rest of us? We like to watch some real racing. Letting drivers pass you is not racing.

You don't seem to understand what I was trying to say... and your logic is annoying to say the least (please keep your remarks about my nationality)... I'm sure all you guys are in for the thrill of the sport and all that bs, but it seems to me that either you're being either hypocritical or naive. What happened todays it's something usual. The funny thing is that they made it in such an akward way that it was too obvious and yeah, they deserve the fine for being clumsy but I can understand why the team made that decision.

PD: I don't know if this seems rude to you, but I feel really offended about what you said about me being Spanish. Not sure about the way you see the Spanish people, but I'm an individual and I have my own points of view, and you should know that there are some guys in Spain who really dislike Alonso.

Nice guys never win if Alonso is around. :nono:

Fixed. :hehe:

I admire Alonso as a driver in terms of skill. He's arguably the most complete driver on the grid right now. But boy, is he always around controversy, huh?

How can you use the words "admire" & "Alonso" in the same sentance?

Seriously? Alonso is damn good. He really is. But he doesn't seem to be the nicest guy around...

@ AngelesoinsectoS

It was normal years and years ago before the rules were changed and team orders were introduced but now days it is pretty clear that you cannot order your drivers like ferrari did to change the outcome of the race.

Since you think ferrari did the right thing i guess you think team orders should be allowed and teams should be allowed to order their 2nd best driver to do something that will help their number 1 driver get more points correct? so you would be happy with a team telling a driver to crash in order to bring the safety car out so their number 1 driver could get more points for example?

Its not the right choice to order your drivers to throw away a win because they want their other driver to win that is race fixing it is changing the outcome of the race by breaking a rule and if you cannot see that you i feel sorry for whatever kind of formula one you would like to see.

And about the whole
Alonso was a lot faster than Massa
which is total BS he was at most 1 tenth faster than Massa the entire race and at times Massa was actually faster , but also there have been several races where drivers have been significantly faster than the car infront and they surprisingly enough did the whole overtaking malarky i know as crazy as it sounds but it is possible to overtake in this sport without crashing into the car you are overtaking something Alonso is very capable of doing when hes not whining and losing focus.

What rule says Alonso has to be nice?
You guys are acting like this sort of thing is new to the sport. It has been going on since F1 began. No driver who wants to be a real success can afford to give quarter in any aspect of their involvement. Not just on the track but at all times applying the necessary psychological pressures and mind games etc, surrepticiously working to get the team behind you, etc. MS took that to another level. He pretty much had his own personal test driver.
But now all of a sudden everyone is up in arms over some dumb team orders thing. Get over yourselves. It's old 5hlT and it's small potatoes.

Damn good? Really? Of the top 6 drivers this season, he has made the most errors and earned a farce of a win.

People seem to see him as the guy who beat Michael Schumacher twice...sorry, it was once, in 2005 Ferrari were nowhere and Kimi had his engine crashing on his head every odd grand prix. In 2006, Michael was on his way to his 8th WDC when in the penultimate race his engine crashed his chances indefinitely. Alonso is a good driver, a very good driver but he's majorly hyped up. On straight fights on track, he doesn't come out on top unless the other guy's machinery breaks down or his teammate crashes for him / faces team orders restraint.

Atleast he could of done what happened in 2002 with Schumacher and Rubens. Schumacher let Barrichello on the podium although he officially never got it atleast he got the appreciation he deserved.

this could ruin Massa.

You cant look up to a person who puts himself before his team. Massa looks good and his team looks bad, that is the end truth. Here are a couple of facts you cant overlook.

1) There is no way Massa would hold up a faster pilot 20 laps, specially Alonso o Hamilton. Specially if these are going faster than him.
2) Same car, fernando is faster actually means, you really ought to be going faster, boy.
3) At massa's pace there were chances vettel would have cautgh them both. That was ferraries real fear.
4) Had Massa been able to lay 4 secs on fernando in 20 laps, Ferrari would have been happy with his win.
5) Even if you decide to let you teamate pass you you cant do it in a way that would hurt your team.

Massa could have waited until the last lap, but he knew alonso would force him into a mistake. He could have ran faster, he had many other choices. No one woud have been mad if he indeed held up fernando(or tried to) and then gone on to win the championship for ferrari.

Massa has put the spotlight on ferrari, who loose a lot. Pouting like a baby after the race. Ferrari just wants to win. Massa has lost his edge(if he ever had one). He cant beat Alonso on the race track, just face that.

How can you have someone on your payroll that makes you loose so much. Shame on massa, sorry for your fans, they dont deserver that.
