Lewis Hamilton got caught, be it misjudgement or deliberate; either way it doesn't matter; he got punished; the punishment was fair; it was the FIA's decision making and SC procedure that was flawed causing Hamilton to get a penalty. It's simple to see that Alonso (a man that is hardly the cleanest driver) and Ferrari have a case of sour grapes because they lost out; if the situation was reversed; they'd be praising the SC... Ferrari only complain when things don't go their way. This controversy is more about Ferrari's reaction than the actually breaking of the rules, let's face it Ferrari have been caught "cheating" many times in the past and in many cases got away with it. In my opinion Ferrari have very little grounds to complain given their past with pushing the rules to the absolute limit and beyond!

I can't believe how many more times will Lewis the rat get away with just because he has played the ussual Mclaren "everyone is against me" sh!t.

Now it seems whenever he does something unsporting, the stupid FIA are too afraid of his next fu**ing childish outrage to pass suitable punishment...

Regardless of what he did or not do, or what his intentions were... the real matter lies in the FIA being unable to manage a SC scenario.

Another thing: if there were full course yellows... and the SC goes at yellow flag speed. How come everyone, except those behind the SC were able to go so much faster?

Sorry, you're completely wrong about Lewis. He is no "little rat". He didn't get away with anything. He was penalized, but worked it out by going really fast, and also helped by Kobi's relative slowness, and managed to keep his position.

Ferrari got screwed by Whiting's timing and the FIA's stupid safety car rules. I was watching the race and paying attention, and I had no idea what the hell was going on at that point.

Ferrari should push, along with the other teams, for a solid revision of the safety car rules.

I wonder how many people here would insult a driver in their face...Call Alonso a "tool" or Lewis a "little rat".

i like to whrite in other forums and know how think people in otrer countries but the language limit me. In spain there isnt too many culture about f1 and many times is hard see people criticizing Alonso without reason only because of he is no funny, i said this before. Sometimes he is more beatiful if dont speak but this is another topic.

Worked it out by going really fast to pass the SC and worked it out by going really fast because the FIA didnt even notice his move and everyone else's until half a race alread. Anyone can go really fast. in fact.. most of the drivers were going really fast.

So in other words... its not a matter of it was Lewis or not. Everyone was speeding, anyone would have miscalculated the SC line and passed or stayed behind mistakenly... It was Lewis, so yeah he will be mentioned. And he was the one who made the strongest infringement and benefitted out of it.

For example, nobody will say anything about Kobayashi and Jenson... they got a lucky hand dealt, but he made no violations to get the luck... (even Michael Schu almost got lucky.. but then made some silly move and pitted again... WTF where they thinking??)

The timing had nothing to do with it. It was the implementation of the SC. The timing was the same for everyone, except like i mentioned some guys who had pitted beforehand.

F1ea if you watch on youtube the replay where Lewis was coming up to the SC line while the SC was still in the pitlane you will see he wasnt going flat out, he was going the set speeds for the SC period in which he ended up being 1 metre in the wrong and got punished for it. Fair and square. Did it not occur to any of you sooks that with so many cars being looked into for incidents during the SC period that things would take a while? Aside from the fact the time it took to hand out the penalty was not all that rare, most penalties are given some time after the initial event.

Just because Fernando got screwed over by the SC does not mean he has to go on like a spoilt little bitch and cry foul and then his legion of idiots following suit. God i wish F1 was rid of these Newbie Spanish fans like it was pre Fernando, go back to MotoGP FFS you know nothing about F1!

The main reason I dislike Alonso and/or Ferrari is that neither are exactly beyond reproach, breaking the rules and getting away with it for the most part, wherever Alonso goes scandal is sure to follow if you look at his F1 career... hence the Ferrari International Assistance moniker that was given to the FIA! I'm not necessarily pro-McLaren or Lewis Hamilton, my favourite driver is Jenson Button and has been since he started out in a Williams 11 years ago. I want to see good racing no matter who wins without all the drama; Ferrari are, in my opinion are very disruptive to the harmony of Formula 1, if you look at all the scandals of recent years; Alonso and Ferrari have been involved in most of them... including the race fixing at Renault in 2008, I refuse to believe he knew nothing about the crash-gate scandal! Those are facts that can not be disputed!

The same with the backmarker incident in Canada. It was turned into a Ferrari thing. And look at what happened to Webber. Just because Ferrari have the balls to mention the nonsense and got the crap end of the situations, it is turned as if they and fernando are simply whining.

you know it and everyone knows as well, if Lewis had gotten a black flag or had being held up and lost place behind the SC there'd be massive conspiracy theories, rather than attacking the failure of the FIA to make a proper SC procedure and search for improvement.

The same goes for Mclaren. But thats more a matter of who's winning or fighting for the wins.
Had the kovalainen incident taken place in front of a front fighting car (ie alonso, lewis and even mark if he was leading the race) it would have been MAJOR.

AH no if Lewis was held up by the SC "thems the breaks" as they say, i think most of his fans have followed the sport a lot longer than these Spanish fans and know a SC is a lottery and can f*** up a race.

end of the day a SC will NEVER be fair, its screwed over my favourite team before but you dont see them calling for change when it happens.
